Yeah, those kinds of issues are never a quick recovery.

2026-03-18 11:53:57 +0000 UTCAs a guy who has periodic issues with chronic Carpal Tunnel and Shoulder Issues, take all the time you need! Do your exercises and stretches, wear a brace if you need it, and relax!

2026-03-17 12:57:02 +0000 UTCI had a similar problem several years ago. I was opening our side-by-side refrigerator freezer. However, I grasped the top edge of the freezer to open it. I'd done this hundreds of times. This time, my arm was locked straight. Just as I was about to open the freezer, I sneezed. Not a polite sneeze, but one of those sneezes that could give you whiplash! My shoulder *popped* and fell limp to my side. I didn't dislocate it, but I did strain it. After three weeks with little improvement, I went to an orthopedic doctor. He diagnosed me with bursitis. My little sneeze and *pop* irritated the bursa sack in my left shoulder. The bursa sack provides lubricant for the joint. It had swelled up and stopped lubricating my shoulder. Left alone, the shoulder can freeze and become immobile. The Doc gave me a cortisone injection, and within a couple of days, the pain was gone. It may be a good idea to get it looked at!

2026-03-17 08:42:52 +0000 UTCNo, it's stupid really. I walk everywhere, so I use a backpack when I go for groceries and stuff. I was putting it on one day, and my arm went, "Pop" when I was trying to lever my right arm into the strap. Upper arm, outside part. Just tweaked a muscle or something, but holding a mouse aggravates it. :P
