Reflections 4, 46, 71

Three RADICALLY different Reflections mechanically yet each is has one of my favorite Gift trees in the game.

PLEASE KEEP VOTING! THE LIST IS GETTING FILLED IN!!

And here's the spreadsheet with the unlocked Reflections so far! https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/13s-kMNuxvayJZ3HylynTo1A9lN0CKd7aIED-ImoE87A/edit?usp=sharing

You can use that to keep track of what has or hasn't been shown! I might have missed one or two and if so I'm sorry!

These are the Reflections rolled from last week's post! I'll be doing 3 of these a week, please respond to this post with new numbers and I'll roll again next Monday! Also if you liked these say something nice at the same time.

Please note: these numbers don't represent the actual chronology number of each Reflection in-universe. These numbers represent their position on the d100 chart, and even that may change!

Each Reflection is broken into:

Chronology number - Title - Weapon Type - What attribute color it grants the character. I may also include GM notes about how it's supposed to be played/used!

Demon Arm ? - Lost Order’s Promise - Sheathe - Black: Long before the courts whispered in their ears, a group of knights forged a promise eternal. One by one they forged their blades into a single weapon representing their oath. Though their voices may have been stolen and their bodies repurposed, their promise remains.

Power: B

Defense: B

Tech: B

Anima: D

Special: A

Feedback: B

GM’s note: Technically this weapon is only the sheathe, and still requires the wielder to forge their OWN WEAPON to place within the sheathe. The moment one does so, they’ll be transported to an order hall now overrun with ash and water. If the wielder chooses to keep this Reflection, and swear to join a covenant to an ancient altar long left abandoned, they'll be granted access to the various mutations of the order that will enhance their own role as a knight.

46

X072 - Fanged Madness - Dagger - Purple: When the first true emperor devised his solution for the high walls to keep the great sea at bay, this dagger found its way into the hands of his most trusted vizier. After it was plunged into his back, it vanished mysteriously only to reappear centuries later on the eve of a great battle in the tent of the leading general. This knife jumps from historic milestone to milestone, cutting important figures one after the other from history. It’s said that the wielder of this knife feels compelled to follow the keening call of the imp of the perverse.

Power: A

Defense: D

Tech: A

Anima: B

Special: B

Feedback: E

GM’s note: Love this dagger, one of the few weapons that actively lies about its Feedback level because it MOSTLY leaves you alone until there’s an important or powerful figure in front of you. This dagger allows one to view, at a base level, concentrations of power within not only the area but within individuals. It guides the hand to effective ways to cut and sever power, and a deep wound from this weapon can actually disable Gifts. However, there is no power greater than political, worldly power, and the dagger can’t quite help itself when presented with such a wonderful opportunity.

71

X196 - Battle Standard - Flag - Blue: As the fires faded and the chaos of the battlefield fell to dull cries all that remained of the first wave was a single standard planted in the ground. The next would carry that standard forward, and again, it would be the only thing to survive their push. This flag travelled from battlefield to battlefield now too tattered and faded to be recognized by the sigil engraved upon it. A flag is meant to represent an ideal or a cause, but with time this flag became dedicated to a single concept alone: the front and those that fought and survived there. A sigil divorced from ideology, and a banner that somehow transcends allegiance, this flag simply represents a marker for those that have fought and those that have died.

Power: C

Defense: C

Tech: B

Anima: B

Special: B

Feedback: B

GM’s note: Oh I love this one mechanically a LOT. Basically it lets you take whatever color you have and to spread it to the rest of the battlefield. This also lets you create areas of multicolor fortification where adjacent allies are your color + theirs it’s just. This one is so fun for a tactician type character.
