"Just" a run cycle

Hey guys, after the gargantuan work with the gorilla and the bull, I've decided to try something simpler. And I felt so humiliated by the difficulty it presented. I guess because my brain was just shut off after so much animation, and I couldn't imagine the movements in my mind.

But there it is, a beefy guy with bigger arms and legs in a run cycle, that I've to fix because his torso bends much more on his left than his right and we get a great view of his back but not his chest.

This is not even that simple, because my intention is to use this guy to try two things: animating lights and shadows and doing pixel art.

I won't actually draw pixels (I hope not!) but use a specific filter that prevents the blurring effect once you scale down.

Obviously, that means you have to apply the color blocks knowing that they will make part of a pixel art sprite. It requires a bit of forward-thinking.

Maybe once I will have finished this guy and dressed him in a bunch of silly clothes, some coder on Twitter will ask me to make him the protagonist of some Beat-em-Up or Metroidvania where you get the choice to plow or powerbottom your enemies.

Ha, it would be sweet.
