Rewatching the clips from Beauty and the Beast, I'm noticing that Gaston has actually superhuman strength. I've already said that during his song he lifts a solid tavern bench with three clone girls sitting on it with one arm, but he also kicks away the entire weight of Beast and removes a stone spike from the castle's roof with his bare hands. He wouldn't be so outlandish to see him on par with Hank.
Stupid Disney movies applying cartoon physics to their characters and giving me the justification to make a guy superstrong in canon.
