Evo has to keep for a while a shape that hides his identity from his half-brother. If you wonder why it doesn't turns him into a perfect lookalike of Lunus, that's because there are just too many things to change only for one execution, species, additional limbs, and so on.
And no, he will not get mad because he now misses his wings, he has already done those kinds of metamorphoses before. Because he needs to go undercover a lot.
