Overhaul, MC Room — $2 Release // And a new patch!

Chat, it's actually real! The Overhaul Update is finally here!

After literal months of bashing our heads against the wall, fighting with the engine, optimizing, wading through old code, and then real life sickness, we made it. Our first, proper Overhaul Update is finished, and we can proudly say that it's the single biggest content expansion we’ve ever released. As the name suggests, it brings not only the first reworked location, but also a brand-new random event system, collectable trophies, tons of new interactions, post-route content for existing characters, and a ton of secrets for you to find!

LIST OF MAJOR CHANGES AND ADDITIONS

If you would like to know more about this update, we suggest checking out the original post for the full breakdown. This release version also includes a hotfix we released earlier today. It should improve stability on Android devices, fix a few annoying issues with replays, lower the RAM usage, and more.

THIS UPDATE ADDS:

• Overhaul of the MC's bedroom location. Both visually, and gameplay-wise.

• Random Event system, alongside tons of possible random encounters in MC's new room.

• New post-route content for Kamilah.

• New post-route content for Sonya.

• New post-route content for (drum roll) Reina.

• New secrets to find.

• Clyde is added as an interactive character.

• Implemented Trophy system, allowing player to earn and display trophies for completing certain storylines.

• Two third's of our game's code has been rewritten, because turns out updating locations with new systems is far more problematic than we thought.

• Implemented a dynamic sprite lighting system. Doesn't change much for you, but makes our artists' lives hell of a lot easier.

NEW PATCH FIXES:

• Further optimized our new rendering system.

• Fixed crashes and freezes while exploring MC's room on Android devices.

• Fixed scroll not working properly in choice menus during dialogues.

• Fixed coloring of the text in choice menus during dialogues.

• Fixed replays for the new content displaying as missing texture when viewed through the gallery.
