2021-06-22 17:07:24 +0000 UTCyeah, this particular printer works in US Sheetfed Coated v2, and so once I switched to that color profile in Photoshop, I did my best to adjust the colors to be as close to the digital version as possible. Even after all that, they still came out rather dull ;; which makes me feel like the faux screenprint dotted texture I had added on at the end of the painting may have messed with the way the colors printed.... SIGH c'est la vie!!!

2021-06-22 16:12:39 +0000 UTCI used to work in publishing production, and the reason the colours aren't coming out right on the postcard may be related to the colour profile you're exporting the final image as. If the post cards are going on matt laminated stock (which it looked like those were), a CMYK FOGRA 39 profile is well-suited and makes the colours come out more like how you would expect from looking at the file on screen π₯°
