process: working on new stickers!!

hi friends!! i'm spending this week frantically working on new sticker sheets — i'm planning on having four for my shop update!

> two clear planner-oriented sticker sheets
> a halloween/witchy sticker sheet
> a cozy autumnal sticker sheet
> maybe a big cozy die-cut sticker??? not sure yet

i'm thinking about retiring some sticker designs and some older prints (they're not that old, but sort of old to me!!) like the stickers are cute, but i just feel like i could do a better job with the designs now, ya feel me? G R O W T H 

anywho! i'm currently working on my clear planner stickers, the text-based one first. i draw them up in procreate, bring them in to photoshop on a transparent background, and then select each design using the magic wand tool before copying it over to my sticker sheet template in illustrator for arranging and also to create the cutlines. i used to design the sticker sheet in full on procreate, but this method/process offers up so much more flexibility in terms of arranging/resizing my stickers. i love how colorful these are!! excited to work on the autumnal designs too. i need to be cold and rainy like,, yesterday

then i bring them into photoshop where i use the magic wand/lasso tool to select each design...

then i copy all the stickers into the "artwork" layer in illustrator (i have a sticker sheet template i made that has my logo in place already so it's the same on every sheet) and rearrange them as needed. once i'm happy with the layout, i will use the image trace tool and a process that i learned from the illustrious jordan clark to make my cutlines on a separate layer, and then i send that .ai file to vinyl disorder for them to make my stickers !!

it's a somewhat slow process, but it means that i get my sticker sheets to look exactly the way i want without having to play a lot of email tag with the production company. love y'all!

update: here's another sticker sheet!! think i'm gonna name it "country garden" — it's not seasonally appropriate but i love it a lot so i'm KEEPING IT
