update: packing packing packing!!!

ohhhhh BOY i have. so many orders!! which is a great problem to have! i got over 200 orders on the day of the shop update, and i'm finally halfway through! i think i have just over 100 left to pack and i'm hoping i can finish that today. i think i'm getting to a point where i need to hire someone to come in once a week and pack orders for me haha which is wild to think about! 

but!! because of the success of the shop update, i was able to pay off my taxes (which were $1687, but at least i was able to whittle it down from the original $10k i owed the IRS oh god) and have enough money left over to pay off my credit card, some debt to my parents, and get my new washington liscense plates! cause i've lived in washington for two years and i still don't have my car registered here oops 

these are boring Life Things but they are necessary. and they're possible because of y'all!! pretty much all of my patreon funds go towards paying my rent which means that i'm able to use my income from my shop to make cool new things for the shop, and pay off debt, and buy groceries instead of panicking that i won't be able to make rent at the end of the month. and i cannot begin to express how overwhelmingly thankful i am for y'all, and for the security you lend me. it is frankly life changing for my workflow and eases my brain space and i love you a lot ;—;

oooh also! noissue.co is collaborating with me on mother's day stuff, so they gifted me 250 sheets of tissue paper, and this is the design i'm gonna get printed on it! 

it's inspired by tea time with my mama! i sketched it on my ipad (i followed this tutorial to create a seamless pattern in procreate) and then i vectorized it in illustrator as per their print guidelines. illustrator and vector is so scary to me rip but it's such a useful tool, and i gotta spend some time learning it so i can incorporate it into my workflow more and also expand my product line eventually! ya girl maybe wants to design wedding stationery one day :0

also since i uploaded three videos in a two week span i worry now that my new subscribers on youtube are expecting a regular upload schedule AH. connor and i are going to the glass museum and the aquarium tomorrow so i think i'll vlog that! maybe do a voiceover with thoughts about things like a vlogbrothers video. we shall see!
