february sketchbook tour~

HEY FRIENDS welcome to the february sketchbook tour!! this is a whole hodge podge of traditional and digital work — i've taken to doing small requests on twitter every now and then to help me warm up and it has been super helpful! i feel like my artwork is growing a lot rn which is very exciting !! though i realize this means that i'm gonna have to learn how to draw hands properly which is...daunting to say the least guh

enjoy! i hope y'all are well!!

the left hand side of this spread was directly influenced by michelle lamoreaux, who is an artist i've recently discovered that i love a lot. i really really like how she incorporates her linework into her colors and her whole style is really really awesome — i'm learning i looOOOOve some good lineart ooh boy

h a n d s (w some referenced from alexa sharpe cause i really love the way she draws hands!!! so elegant!!)

sketches for pride and prejudice week, which i'm doing over on insta — i legit cannot believe that i drew either pair of these hands like?? also gouache and i are slowly becoming friends though skin tones in gouache is a whole nother ballgame

LOOK AT THOSE!!! I DREW THOSE! WHAT!

i love me some fancy dresses eee — i wanna do more stylized dress studies like these (with cool ghosty hands)

i miss my sweet son sora i can't believe i still don't have kh3 cause i'm saving money for the MOVE and i need to buy a ps4 along with kh3 adklsjf

(this is directly referenced from another michelle lamoreaux piece)

first time ever doing a comic! though it's one panel — did it on hourly comics day so i could sort of participate

a thumbnail for a larger painting i will hopefully make at some point

i loooOOVE how this color sketched turned out for this p&p piece, i wish i could paint traditionally with these exact colors

done for a draw this in ur style on twitter! for a new art friend, max turnbull

drew this for an article connor wrote on medium, it was my first try at editorial work! not sure i'm into editorial stuff...we shall see if i try my hand at it again perhaps

i'm also learning i gotta lean more into more intense contrast in my pieces cause that's when shit gets interesting i think

an abandoned study that i was gonna do with a pic i took of field near UW campus on the first snow day last week

and that's the whole kit and caboodle! i think that i'm really sticking to my new year's resolution of "draw a bunch more" and it feels good! i think it's paying off. trying to enjoy the whole experimenting phase and i'm having a good time~

love ya lots! hope ur well!
