Dev Build - A Juicy Update + IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT

Hey everyone! I finally wrapped up the juicing room, but before I get into the details I want to announce that I'll be taking some time off from working on this stuff for at least a month.

After working hard on this project for close to 3 years, I need to take a step back for a while to recharge. I won't be pausing payments in case anyone wants to continue supporting me during the break, but feel free to switch your membership to the free tier until I get back to work. I'll make a public post on here to let you know when I return. Now let's get to the juicy details!

I added a new Berry Options menu you can use to change all sorts of things related to the berry transformation. You can now change the berry color, juice color or even disable the berry color entirely. There are also sliders to adjust how fast the character grows in berry form and how much juicing reduces the character's size. You can enable/disable popping in this menu too.

I also added a door to the juicing room on the other side of the Candy Factory level. It will open up once the player has transformed into a berry. Roll inside to access the juicing room, or you can quickly get to the juicing room on the second page of the level select menu. (Note that if you enter via the menu, it will automatically turn the character into a berry if they weren't already.)

Once in the juicing room, you can control the juicer with the J key and the arrow keys. You can rotate the pistons or move them up and down to squish the character in different ways. There's also a crush function that will "cure" the character instantly. Once crushed or popped, you will be sent back to the Candy Factory.

As mentioned in the last WIP post, I changed the method I use for growing the character. This introduced a TON of bugs, but I think I have them all fixed at this point. However, I wouldn't be surprised if there are one or two things I missed, so feel free to tell me if you notice anything strange happening.

With all that said, I want to thank you for sticking with me through development so far! It means a lot and I'll be more motivated to get back to work after taking this much needed break. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy!

You can try a few things. You can turn off some of the features in the graphics settings and set to a lower screen resolution. Make sure your power settings in windows are set to balanced and not for power saving. If you are running this on a laptop make sure its plugged in. If none of that works you might need better hardware.

I just unlocked one of the secret candy shapes (Gummy Bear specifically) and I honestly think it would be my favourite shape if it wasn't for the sorta awkward looking head...neck shape? Which I'm aware the point of it IS to look sorta awkward, but it's so perfect in nearly every other way that part of me wishes there was an option to have it without? As for the rest of it though, I am Thoroughly impressed! The rolling physics are Amazing! I never though I'd have FUN rolling around as a massive blob, but here I am!

No because some of the weight classes require very different setups for technical reasons. Theres no way to smoothly transition between them.

When switching between weight classes, would it be possible to add a smoother transition between switching? Like maybe gradually switching instead of immediately?

Still adore this project, and wanted to ask if there'll be anymore linear things like the snackrooms? Also been if the current max blob size is the limit, because a hyper blob, city size or even bigger, would be amazing. If it is the upper limit, maybe there could be like, a stage where you start as a giant,and eat buildings and such, crushing the city beneath?

Suggestion: contagious juice? Npcs could possibly become blueberries after coming into contact with the player juice either through juicing or popping? Also npc feeders? That way the player won't have such a hard time retrieving food in small places while immobile?

I'm playing for a couple of days and I'm already addicted to this game, you have done an amazing job! I have a few suggestions aswell (I know your a on a well deserved break right now), but here are some; 1. Maybe some new clothing options aswell. For me personally, I always like the winter because chubby/fat woman start wearing puffer jackets/puffervests, which give them an even fatter/bigger look, so maybe something for the game? 2. Also, is air inflation something that could be interested for you? 3. Some sort of villian NPC that is making sure you will get nice and fat? And maybe in different ways you can battle it, what results in a fat villian? Thank you for all your time and effort you have put in this game :)

Here's a fun idea flonka's factory is a Possible chocolate Pipe System if you stay in the Chocolate River for too long.. another could be a Bowling like game for the rollable Blob!
