Dev Build - Lots More Little Things

Hey all! For this update I focused on adding more features requested by you.

First off, there's a new customization option for earrings and earring colors plus a toggle for elf ears. I will probably add other ear options down the road. In addition there's a voice pitch option to give some customization to all the sounds the character makes. I want to have different voice types eventually, but that will probably come later when I do a more comprehensive pass on the game's sound effects. And speaking of sounds, I also added some random sloshy sound effects to the blob sizes, which were graciously provided by patron Josh the changeling (thanks for those!)

Shoes and socks have finally been added to the clothing options along with color pickers for each. I will definitely add more options for these in the future so if you have any requests feel free to let me know. Also, I only have toe socks for now since I haven't figured out the best way to change the foot model for wearing socks yet. I plan to fix this eventually because toe socks look kinda weird ngl.

I also added some mess options to the status effect menu. Mess 1 controls stains dripping down all over the body while mess 2 controls the stains around the face and hands. You can change the color and opacity of both and they are saved per character slot just like the fart and burp colors.

Lastly, I added a new option to the interact menu (space bar) for moving props around. You can pick up almost every object in the game and reposition it or rotate it how you like. Objects that have tipped over will automatically reset to their initial orientation. The preview hologram will be blue as long as it's placed on a valid surface and isn't colliding with anything else. This was a tricky thing to implement since I had to set this up with every prop in the game. I wouldn't be surprised if there's some bugs with it, so feel free to let me know if you run into anything strange using this tool.

That's all for now. I plan to focus on a new growth sequence for the next update. It will most likely include the various body shapes leading up to the round blob shape. Tbh I've been avoiding this for the past couple updates because it's such a daunting task and typically takes longer than a normal update. However, I think I'm ready to get back to it, so wish me luck! In the meantime I hope you enjoy!

If you are getting low FPS you can try turning off some of the options in the graphics settings and/or try setting it to a lower screen resolution. You can also try windowed mode which has helped for some people. If you still have trouble you may need better hardware to run it well.

How do I fix the lag?

I don't have a super specific direction in mind. My main goal right now is to continue fleshing out the core systems until I have a solid foundation to build more specific scenarios on top of it. I basically want a flexible platform that I can keep adding new things to without getting bogged down in one direction. Each map might have it's own gimmick or objective while remaining independent of the others. A stealth scenario like the one you mentioned might be a fun thing to try in one of them.

Which way do you want to take the game? As it is now, I'm reminded of flash games like Amateur Ninja, running around, avoiding guards detection, collecting treasures, keys, and working your way up to the top boss. Sly Cooper had Flashlight Guards, an easy way for people to see the scope and range they needed to avoid before being caught. I think this could be a game mechanic that could tie into a bigger idea of 'trying to eat as much as possible, before being caught.' Then, the larger the character is, and the further you progress, the more difficult the challenges are.

I wasnt able to record it, but I encountered an amusing result- I was having Jill standing on the table near the mirror in the yoga room. I fed her to 'hyper blob size' and the table promptly proceeded to clip... downwards, as if she broke it!

Voice pitch, now that's a good feature. One future request if I may. A setting where the fatter the character gets, the deeper the voice gets. I love deep, husky voices for fats. Perhaps the gulping sounds when they eat could get deeper and lower pitched too?

oogh! i understand… oh also, i was thinking about say, sliders for the “default” weight, but i have no idea how that’d translate to the progressive models

I'll definitely keep adding more hairstyles here and there. Feel free to request anything specific you have in mind, although long hair styles aren't technically possible right now.

I love the game and the updates. Playing around with the newest update, I had a few feature ideas, but please know that none of these are demands or must haves. I always want to be respectful. -An option to increase the magnitude and force of gas would be neat. Like a fart that blasts physics objects back. -Lactation options might be nice, especially for berry stuff. -An indicator of which save slots contain data would help. -Nipple/areola options would be cool. Once again, the game is fantastic and I look forward to every update. Thank you for your hard work!

Nice update! I forgot to comment on the last one but the past two updates have been great. Really love the slob features. As for any requests I think that footsteps would be awesome for lower stages. Great work excited for next update!

I'll see what I can do. The save system is tricky especially when I add new elements between updates. Old saves can corrupt some of the new features and keeping them separate helps avoid some of the issues. I know it's inconvenient though.

Can you paste exactly what the error message says? The more details I have the more likely I can help. It's a long shot, but another thing you can try is extract it to a location with a shorter directory path, like the desktop or documents folder. If it's buried in a bunch of folders the directory path may be too long for Windows to read the files.

Have you thought about a game mode where you have to complete a specific task before getting too fat? Like, you're getting fatter constantly and have to escape a room or something before you're too wide to fit through the doorways! Just an idea, I LOVE your work btw!

I really love what you got going on here. I gotta ask though, is there a chance you could make the saves combine into one folder automatically after each update? Also I cant wait for limb and face fat for pre blob bodies! I always feel greedy for suggesting things so i hope it doesnt feel that way for you. Thank you, you are doing gods work!

Another neat little update, I love seeing games come together bit by bit! And on the topic of character customization, maybe you could try running polls for specific themes/properties i.e. Overwatch, RWBY, Marvel/DC, etc.? It'd probably be good modelling practice too

Amazing work ! I'm curious if you'll add later a mode or something about food, like differents food will have differents carlories values ? Like a full pizza the character would gain more fat than just a simple slice... Thank you !

I could probably do that. It would still require you to be standing still and not eating, but I guess it would be slightly more convenient than the menu button.

That's strange. You shouldn't need any other programs. I'm not sure why it's saying unity not found. Maybe you are missing the UnityPlayer.dll file that is included in the zip. Make sure the entire zip file is extracted to a folder on your hard drive. Once extracted, the folder should contain 5 items. If it's missing any of these files it won't run. If you are extracting the zip using the built in Windows extractor, try using 7zip instead since the Windows extractor has been known to cause problems for some people. If it gives you an error message, can you paste what it says here? That might help me figure out what's going wrong. Also have you had this issue when trying to play any of my free builds on twitter?

I explained how to extract the game when responding to your comment in the previous post. If the game still fails to run after doing that, then your PC may not be powerful enough to run it. If you need to know the controls, there is an icon in the top left that looks like a controller. Click that and it will explain how to control it. There is no guide because there isn't much of a game yet. It's mostly just a feeding/weight gain simulator with character customization. The closest thing to a game would be the Snackrooms level which you can find on page 2 of the level select screen. Hope this helps!

im glad we got a small update to sound! im definitley looking forward to a larger update on sound though, since when she walks around its completley silent and its a bit strange, it would be nice if i could hear the plip plap of her feet on the floor

Love all the new customization options! I'm having fun playing around with different voice pitches. I think thigh highs/over the knee socks would be a nice addition to the sock options, if possible.

I wish, but allowing free movement while feeding or changing body shapes causes a bunch of game breaking issues, mainly because of limitations with the physics plugin I use. The weight class system and movement limitations were added by necessity since I can't find a way to get around those problems.

Looks like a really solid update! Are there any plans for being able to have a character go up a weight class without having to stop what You're doing? (E.g no longer having to stop tube feeding or walking). Or perhaps an option to walk around with the tube in still? Still, fantastic progress! Keep up the good work. Or don't, I'm not a cop.
