If you want to experience the new content:
Carcen Slums
It's recommended that you at least have Jewel in your party before heading here.
1. Grab a job from the job board in the bar.
2. Head to the Carcen slums with a decent weapon from the Gear Shop.
3. Engage in combat with all the new Lumber Rat characters.
Motel Cowgirl
1. Complete the Throb questline.
2. Put on the guard armor during the next night.
3. Leave the motel.
4. Enter the motel again.
5. Repeat steps 2-4 every night until you see the new cowgirl scene.
