Welcome to this week's Development Update! I'm Vilsa Nara - programmer, writer and general developer for TC.

Tutorial Suggestions

This week I've been doing a lot of work on bringing our lewd tutorial sequence to completion. Now we have an easy to use system for suggesting which abilities to use for a tutorial setting. Previously we had a lot of hard coded nonsense that we made for the first fight in 0.1, but now we can do it with a super easy little visual script. Here's an example of what the system looks like, along with party frames for easily selecting characters in your party during combat.

Visual Effects

bearcore has been doing hard work on the cool visual stuff for combat, including particle effects for the new abilities. This is the sorta stuff that is super exciting to see come together, cuz it starts to make combat feel like an actual game.

Generic Dialogue Sprites

RatedEhcs has provided us with more dialogue sprites! These ones will be used for unimportant characters so we can still have a dialogue sprite on the screen. We're going to be working on implementing these for characters that don't have sprites currently. Some characters will use these sprites until we have unique sprites made for them (like Throb, etc).
