Vilsa here with another Development Update! We've had our heads down working incredibly hard on rebuilding combat from the ground up with systems that will allow us to expand way more on how it plays.

The clothing racks, curtains and mirrors are placeholder sprites to see what the final level could look like.
We've blocked out the clothing store that you guys made possible with your wonderful support! We still need to put together sprites, outfits and shopping UI to bring it to completion, but we're excited to get it to you guys. We're not sure about it making into 0.4.0 when we're doing a ton of work on combat, but we'll try our best to squeeze it in if we can.
Also this screenshot gives you a quick glimpse of our reusable character sprites for varied NPCs. They still need some work with things like skin tone, but we're super happy with how they're coming along.

It may not seem like much, but this a huge leap in terms of the ability it gives us to make... abilities. One of the main goals with the combat overhaul is to allow us to do certain actions like targeting and character movement from visual scripting.
It's basically like us making the ingredients (actions) that we can then combine into various delicious meals (abilities).
With us unlocking the targeting system and putting into visual scripting, it allows us to have actions that take multiple targets. So for example we could make an ability that asks for a character target, and then asks for a target to teleport them to.
It's been slow and tedious work to rebuild all these systems from the ground up, but we're really starting to make progress and we're excited for when we have parity with our current combat system, but with all this added ease of development and functionality. This will in turn mean that we'll be able to deliver more in-depth combat to you guys, which we can't wait for.

Gear has been hard at work on overworld sprites for the characters, and he's nearly finished up Jewel's sprites. The combination of her dialogue and overworld sprites really brings her to life.
