Progress on the development of Malevolent Planet - 20th July 2020

Recent developments are:
- For more immersion during sleep/rest sequences, I developed a new outfit which is supposed to serve as a pajama/nightwear.
- The more I write Ted's quest, the bigger it gets. I get new ideas that should make the quest more eventful than the event preview itself.
- With a lot of help, the game now has a developing mechanic that relies on player actions. During scenes that make contextual sense (for example trying to resist the effects of an aphrodisiac-like drug), there will be effects like a moving text that sometimes moves quickly in a dynamic trajectory. What I have for now is a moving text that if clicked 3 times, it will lead to another passage or the current passage's contents will be altered. This will make more sense when you play the quest's scene. The inspiration for this mechanic is the Detroit: Become Human sequence that happens, without going into too many details, when you are trying to become human. If the development of this mechanic will go well, the scenes that use it will look better than the gif I've shown above, with transitions and special text effects.
Due to the unfortunate turn of events in the last days, development wasn't as quick as I hoped it would be. My goal for tomorrow is to finish Ted's quest and to start drawing a special scene from this quest. After that, I will fill up the world with more small interactions, like getting to know Sarah, because I finished for the most part the initial interactions from within the ship.
So, on the 22nd these should be done, but I will look over my quest/events drafts to figure out whether I can add something more that wouldn't take more than a day or two. To be honest, the hardest aspect of writing more descriptive content is not always acting on the desire to make it look better, in my mind there are very nice effects that make me feel more immersed, however let's have more content done first and pretty effects will come later :D.
