Notice on Malevolent Planet - 1st July 2020

Hey! I apologize for not posting much lately, but it has been my birthday recently and as I announced a week ago, there are some personal life necessities I need to take care of this week. As of Thursday, I should be free once again to work full time on Malevolent Planet and on my art. 

I was not really sure how to announce a delay in updates, but I thought it would be better to keep the communication channel open so that you won't think that I abandoned development or anything like that, it's just that if I do not deal with what's coming on Thursday properly, the stress will wear me off and it would reflect badly on the writing and other crucial aspects of the game.

In the little spare time I have had over the past few days, I have managed to finish some cosmetic assets for the game and I am pretty sure the groundwork is laid down for the preview, except for the fact that I need to work a bit more on the scene. As of now, the game has, and will be shown in the upcoming preview:

• A more developed character creation screen which includes the cosmetic features I've went into in the last development updates.
• Updated body proportions.
• Updated all the existing clothes for the updated body proportions. (as seen in the screenshots)
• The event I've been working on, it needs some finishing touches and a bit of branch choices development so that multiple playthroughs through the same event would show more content than previous scenes/interactions had. On Thursday and Friday, after I take some time to cool off from all the stress that has been wearing me down lately, I will spend most of my time on the event so that I can release the preview hopefully in the weekend.

And for now what the game has, but will not be shown in the preview:

• Fallout-like Quest system
• Robust inventory system
• Navigable maps
• An interactive way to upgrade your base (ship) which would unlock more possibilities over time.

And there are probably more I've missed. What there is to know is that basically all these systems need is content and since I'm finishing with my latest real life troubles for a good while, I will have all the time I need to develop content the game deserves.

I have also thought about putting in a sexual scene system like some other LifeSim games have, with the purpose of it being used together with a fight system, but we will see.

And to finish, I would like to thank you for the patience you've had so far and rest assured that I do not have any thoughts to abandon or slow down development over time, and that I feel a responsibility towards both you as supporters of my project and towards the game as well.
