ARA animation WIP

I wanted to share more work on this--and express some thoughts. I won't finish it this month since it's still gonna take too long, so I'd rather finish something else first.
But since it had been so long since i'd done a previous animation, I started this one ALL wrong, so it took a tremendous amount of re-doing and adjusting, as well as having way too many frames for a full-body, full-outfit animation, despite it barely being 2 seconds.
So if anything it is becoming more of a learning experience for next time. Personally i wish i spent the time doing other things but.. several of you asked for this to be done, and I said I would, so gotta spend some time!
If anything, I want to dedicate more April time to some further scifi work such as theme/setting pieces, lead-ups, and narrowing down a style to use.

i notice that you use the same brown background a lot. is it a real photograph of construction paper with digital drawings on top, or is the background made digitally with some texture brushes? i really like it

2024-04-02 20:42:52 +0000 UTCIt's a real good animation, I think the transition between the open mouth (which I presume is an indication of her tiredness) to the closed mouth when sitting down is too sudden, holding the open mouth down into the chair and then animating a raising chest into a sigh would make for a better transition. The movement of the arms and legs into the chair is very smooth, very well done.
