This IS an administration failure. This will only hurt American, Mexican and Canadian consumers, Americans will be the most impacted. Trump promised to LOWER prices, this will raise them by at least 25%.

When we consider that Mag 7 and the blue chip American companies (KO, JNJ, PG, etc) represent the major wealth in the market one might think the impact wouldn't be so severe but it seems market sentiment is the greater threat. Hope the recovery is quick because the media frenzy will amplify this as an admin failure.
