New to this forum, Do you think AMD will be affect with this treasury bond play... I know Tom says get out of tech unless they are fundamentally sound. AMD has a ton of cash and will they be affected

You're welcome.

cheers appreciate the reply

DA means Depreciation and Amortisation - they are usually recorded as separate line items in the full length income statement (available from the company website) or as a single item in the cash flow statement on Seeking Alpha (click on "financials" and then click the "cash flow" tab below).

Aaron

could any kind patron reading this tell me where you would find, or calculate the 'Earnings After DA' figure from? I know DA means debt\amortisation, but can't see where i'd find those values on (for example) seeking Alpha - https://seekingalpha.com/symbol/AMD/income-statement. Can DA be inferred from the other figures?

Hi Tom, I had an idea that I wanted to discuss with you. Instead of extrapolating to the future for 5 years what AMD's growth will be like(and for that matter, we can do it for any company the discord wants based on available financial data from the company's historical earnings data) and the target price for this year, can we use the price and data from end of 2016, and use the actual growth numbers and all other DCF stats to see what the price would have been now and compare it to the price at the moment ? I just wish I knew about investing in 2016 so I could have started buying AMD stock then instead of back in 2019. That would give us a much clear view of the past growth trend and we can extrapolate it alongside the future DCF to get a clearer idea about the future. Since AMD's market cap will only go up in the future, with the way they are expanding, my personal PT is at least 300 by 2025, and by 2025 i assume we will be factoring in growth from 2025 to 2029 in the DCF sheet, were we to calculate the same way. I hope you know what I am trying to say with this, but happy to discuss further. Thanks, Aditya
