Arranged Marriages Compatibility with Wedding Pack
Added 2022-02-24 08:44:37 +0000 UTCSorry for the wait, here's my current report on compatibility with the new wedding pack! To summarize the below it doesn't cause any problems from what I can tell, you'll still be able to play with the wedding pack and experience it, just that there are some quirks to be aware of when playing until I can get an update out.
Notes:
- The wedding pack disables the original base game wedding event system, which includes my custom neutral wedding event. If the sims are *below* 50 romance points (less than halfway filled), do not use the "Plan Wedding Event" interactions appearing on the arch or the fiancé, otherwise it will throw an LE as these are my custom interactions trying to use the now blocked neutral wedding event. Instead, use the new "Plan Wedding Event" interaction on the phone. If your sims are *above* 50 points, it will show the EA interactions instead and be fine. The custom immediate marrying interactions on the arch (and eloping for Convenience sims) still work fine.
- If having planned a wedding using the phone interaction and still below 50 points, the "Get Married To" interaction on the arch will be my custom one and will still work.
- The custom interactions do not count for completing the optional activities in the new wedding event though, like the Exchange Vows or Spousal Kiss.
I will try to have the planned update and some fixes out as soon as I can, though I will likely need to make some adjustments to the way I currently handle the wedding system.
Also, this pack is horribly buggy like everyone was saying, testing was painful. I'm not sure if I'll be fixing any of the EA bugs at this moment other than possibly animation related ones, as there are already several modders working on improving this pack. I might have to make a quick few though to save my sanity.
