Dev Blog: 02/06/2022 - Hello & Quick Update

Hello everyone! I'm stopping by to give a very quick update about what's going on behind scenes right now and also to give a warm welcome to everyone who has joined recently, which there are quite a lot of you! I'm happy that so many people are excited for Arranged Marriages, and I can't wait for you guys to see all that I have planned! ❤️

📌 Arranged Marriages

🌟 So first thing: I was really hoping that the GP patch would occur during early access, so I could patch any possible breakage before public release, but due to bad timing the patch comes two days after my mod goes public. I don't think it will break anything badly, but it's hard to predict what EA will change. I'll try to have a status report ready as soon as possible on that day!

🌟 Next thing is that I will have that large post about future updates out soon for Bard+ tiers, so everyone can choose their favorite option and post any additional ideas that weren't in my list. Wizard & Knight tier will get their own poll as well to determine which of the updates I'll focus on first! And once the wedding pack has released and we've had time to explore it, I'll likely run a discussion post specifically about weddings to see what you guys want done with the new system. I can't wait!

🌟 An update with a couple of new minor features and a couple of fixes for the known issues (money, peasant classes, etc.) will be out soon as well, no specific date at the moment.

📌 Misc

The next round of updates that I wanted to cover is mostly about work on tools and testing/research, upcoming release, and a quick note about the sewing machine. Just a reminder that I do post small sneak peaks/WIP first in the patron only Discord channels #patron_news_wip (and #priority-wip for Bard+ tiers) before I write up a full explanation on here, so if you want info immediately I recommend keeping up with those channels!

🌟 Pancake has been working hard on several of our tools lately, which is fantastic news for my future projects. The biggest impact was my conversion tool set, which allows me to smoothly convert animations from both The Sims 3 and The Sims Medieval. It used to only allow adults, but now it has toddlers and children! You'll be seeing some kid related toys and objects soon, in-between the bigger projects.

One object I have always wanted to convert and will soon is a wash bucket/basin from TSM. I held off converting it originally because the kids can splash in it and I didn't want to leave something so cute out. You can check that out in the gif below, and a picture of what one version of the object looks like.

🌟 Something I was testing lately for my future projects was VFX conversion, which was needed for several projects to feel complete (like blacksmithing) as nothing close existed in TS4. So far it's been going great, and I'm working on a mini-project to go with it, which I won't reveal what it is just yet! I'll give you a hint, it's from the TS3 Supernatural EP! (I'll also be making a community VFX resource with these and others for creators, more info to come soon.)

🌟 Sewing has another set of WIP animations from Pancake, for those not following our Twitters. New set here, previous ones here. We wanted to add some sleepiness/bored possibilities into the animations, and we're thinking of having a chance of increased penalties on your sewing project for this occurring

I'll have another post soon going over what's coming next, and I've been thinking of switching swordfighting and sewing around on the to-do list because of some additional features that I wanted to add to sewing, which are big and will take longer but are exciting.

🌟 And lastly, I was finally able to update my car and light orb VFX hider, so I'll be releasing what I've found so far. I'll also finally release the fixed ruin stair seats mod mentioned a few months back, as I kept forgetting before.
