Dev Blog: 05/16/2021

It has been a crazy two weeks. I mentioned before I was attempting something big but so far it's been fighting me every step of the way and I might have actually reached a stalemate at this point....I'll keep trying and hopefully have some good news to report, but this + the mods discussed below have been taking up all my focus lately. But look at it, look at that mess! That's just one of the bugs I ran into! It's extremely frustrating because I was over the moon in excitement and now I want toss my computer into a fire. 😭

Anyways, the second thing I wanted to discuss is finally revealing what Pancake and I were working on the last few weeks, which is a stroller! Look at it go! 

As some of you know this was one of my dream projects so I've been extremely excited to work on it. This was also fairly complicated, we had to research the bikes, sleds, and even high chair files to figure out how to put it together and ran into a lot of weird glitches along the way. One bug we had actually allowed us to put the stroller with the toddler into the inventory and that would create a t-posing non-stop flickering toddler (gif below). Fun times!

Right now we're about a third done with this, give or take. Animations are still being tweaked here and there, bugs are still being squashed, the tuning needs cleaned up and other features added, and we're waiting on some possible mesh adjustments from another creator. Also, this currently only works with toddlers. I will investigate at a later date if we can trick the game into allowing babies, but there is such a slim chance of it working I don't recommend hoping for it, lol. 

And lastly, nothing new to report for the broom or arranged marriages unfortunately, other than I will have to re-create the broom animations for sure, which is going to be a pain. Besides getting sucked into the hell project and the stroller, I was also investigating some bugs for No Fade (still doing so too) and Pancake and I's bed mods (Read Books on Bed & Makeout On Bed). I just solved the bed mods the other day too! If you use those mods an update will follow sometime soon, we just have one last thing to investigate.

At this point I'm going to try just a few more things with the unnamed project, and wait on Pancake to take a look (who will hopefully have an answer), and if nothing improves I'm going to throw it into the hiatus WIP bin and get back to work on my other mods. I've got a couple of small things to publish but not sure when.
