Chapter 522: I Know He’s Your Fiancé, But I Still Need You to Pass a Message to Him!

From afar, the newly arrived fleet on the horizon cast a dark shadow over the sea. Princess Annie's face turned deathly pale at the sight.

This fleet consisted of four legendary warships—unheard-of ones at that—followed by ten magical alchemy warships and eleven ancient magical ghost ships. The Old Continent had never seen the likes of such ancient magical ghost ships before.

Even Sophia Gallanord closed her eyes in despair.

The enemy was simply too powerful.

Unable to suppress her feelings, Sophia turned to Annie. "Annie, have Mesu take you away. I will stay and hold them off."

Sophia Gallanord took a deep breath and spoke, “I know he is your fiancé, but I still need you to pass a message to him.”

“I love him.”

“Now go!”

Princess May and Duchess Mesu exchanged glances, both fully aware that the war had reached its end.

Four legendary warships—their power was insurmountable. Even the four great empires would feel disheartened in the face of such strength. But just then, the Black Dragon, bracing against immense pressure, muttered in a low voice, “One of those ships is the Radiant Holy Kingdom!”

He feared that if he stayed silent, Princess May and the other women might make emotional confessions of their own, turning the scene into a bloody nightmare by the time Charlot Mecklenburg returned.

The Black Dragon had seen the Radiant Holy Kingdom before. Although he couldn’t fathom why it was sailing again, the impression it had left on him was indelible.

Suddenly, someone shouted, “The Dolmabahçe! One of the ships is the Dolmabahçe!”

Charlot, oblivious to the commotion caused by the fleet, was unaware that a storm was brewing in Black Phoenix City—a storm far fiercer than any ocean tempest conjured by the mere whims of an evil god.

...

Charlot spotted two Saint-rank individuals from the New Continent conversing in the sky. He casually asked, “What are they talking about?”

Juno Arthur, with a faint smile, replied, “They’re discussing how to divvy up your women.”

No sooner had Juno spoken than a faintly silver serpent tail materialized from the void and tapped his shoulder.

The irksome effects of his recent study into evil gods abruptly vanished.

If Juno Arthur had relied solely on his own efforts, it might have taken him years to purge those effects. Some might even have lingered indefinitely, becoming obstacles to his ascension to godhood.

Feeling overjoyed, Juno added another comment, “Both of them are eyeing Annie.”

Charlot’s aura changed dramatically, becoming chillingly menacing. He waved his hand, signaling the fleet to increase its speed. They soon approached the New Continent Alliance fleet.

Instead of stopping, Charlot ordered the Radiant Holy Kingdom to lead, with the Emilia Mecklenburg following close behind. They would barrel straight through the enemy fleet.

These two legendary warships far surpassed the Swan Lake and Dolmabahçe in power. Though the New Continent Alliance also possessed magical alchemy warships, not one of them could rival these two. Faced with the overwhelming approach of Charlot’s fleet, the New Continent ships had no choice but to give way.

The sailors from the New Continent cursed loudly. Over ten Saint-rank individuals ascended into the air, preparing to teach Charlot a lesson.

...

Monteblanc, one of the three speakers of the New Continent Conference, flew forward to intercept the Radiant Holy Kingdom, shouting, “I am Monteblanc, one of the three speakers of the New Continent Conference!”

“Which empire do you represent? Are you here to aid Black Phoenix City?”

Charlot replied calmly, “Monteblanc, may I ask—were you just discussing with your companions how to divide up my women?”

Monteblanc was momentarily stunned before laughing brazenly. “That’s correct. We were discussing just that. But Black Phoenix City’s women aren’t limited to one. Are they all yours?”

Juno Arthur immediately spread his arms and declared, “Indeed! The beautiful women of Black Phoenix City all belong to my student, Charlot Mecklenburg!”

Charlot, his mind blank with fury, didn’t register Juno’s words about Black Phoenix City’s women. One thought consumed him: These bastards are actually discussing dividing up my women.

“How dare they think such a thing?”

“What audacity!”

“They’ve signed their death warrants.”

“Even a few evil gods wouldn’t dare entertain such thoughts. If they did, I’d ensure their demise beneath the walls of Black Phoenix City.”

Juno, having fanned the flames, turned to see five faintly visible figures. Among them was a boy, his face filled with rage. Juno hastily added, “The ladies aboard this ship also belong to my student, Charlot Mecklenburg.”

Lady Menielman blushed crimson, took a deep breath, and murmured, “I’ll take that as a blessing…”

Charlot maintained a calm exterior, but the rage within him burned hot enough to consume everything.

He had once felt sympathy for the people of the New Continent. But now? These same people had returned to the Old Continent, attacking his Mecklenburg Duchy, occupying his lands, and, if that weren’t enough, coveting his women?

At last, Charlot understood why the New Continent people so willingly worshipped evil gods.

Monteblanc, upon hearing Charlot’s name, paused briefly. Seeing the fleet, he misunderstood the situation and smiled faintly. “Ah, Charlot Mecklenburg, the Duke himself! You must have borrowed these ships from other nations to save your duchy, haven’t you?”

“I’m afraid a few warships won’t suffice to rescue Mecklenburg Duchy. What you really need are powerful Saint-rank individuals.”

“As far as I know, the empires of the Old Continent are too caught up in their own wars of interest to spare any forces for your personal cause.”

“How about this?”

“I am a civilized man, and I’m willing to offer you a chance. If you can defeat me in a duel, I’ll personally ensure your lands are returned. But if you lose, Black Phoenix City’s women will serve as your compensation.”

Monteblanc’s declaration drew uproarious laughter from the New Continent Saints accompanying him. One of them shouted, “Exactly! Monteblanc speaks for the New Continent Conference!”

“Though, I’ve heard Charlot Mecklenburg is a high-rank transcendent!”

“Why don’t you surrender without a fight?”

Monteblanc proposed the duel as a form of humiliation. While he’d heard of Charlot’s remarkable talent and recent ascension to the high ranks, such strength meant little to him.

Monteblanc was confident Charlot would not accept the challenge. But if he could lure out Charlot’s Saint-rank subordinates and eliminate them in a duel, it would still count as a strategic victory.

Amidst their mocking laughter, Charlot replied calmly, “Very well. I accept your challenge.”

Taking a step forward, Charlot slowly ascended into the air under the gaze of all present...
