Chapter 514: The Final Labyrinth God

His body was drenched in sweat, soaking through all his clothes. Had he made even the slightest mistake earlier, he might have fallen into corruption.
Charlot had known all along that the five divine creatures aboard the Radiant Holy Kingdom were extraordinarily sinister and had always been cautious. Yet, he hadn’t expected that he would still come so close to succumbing.
Breaking free from the taint of the Evil God’s power, Charlot found himself in the final stages of the battle. The Radiant Holy Kingdom and the Emilia were vying for the last remnants of the Agmirlas Labyrinth!
With a long exhale of relief, Charlot heard a voice behind him, saying, “Charlot! You’ve had quite the haul!”
Recognizing the voice, Charlot turned and saw Juno Arthur, his teacher. He replied, “Teacher, what did you manage to seize?”
Juno smiled faintly and devoured a lump of flesh in his hand, refining it as he spoke. “We didn’t secure the greatest share!”
“I can sense it. Agmirlas was locked in battle with three other Evil Gods. Even at the last moment, it couldn’t break free from their entanglement. When we destroyed its core essence, it was divided among those three Evil Gods in an instant.”
“There are now only thirty-five major Evil Gods left on the New Continent.”
“The Labyrinth God Agmirlas has fallen forever.”
“The crisis of Agmirlas descending upon the mortal realm—what you’ve been worrying about—will never happen again.”
Charlot closed his eyes, allowing himself to relax completely.
Juno smirked and added, “However, since we all participated in the division of Agmirlas, we’ve been marked by those three Evil Gods...”
Charlot jumped in alarm. “What do you mean by that?”
Juno shook his head. “I’m not entirely sure. I’ve tried, but I couldn’t erase the marks left by the three Evil Gods. You haven’t reached the Saint rank, so you probably can’t even sense it yet.”
“On the bright side, neither the Radiant Holy Kingdom nor the Emilia was marked. They absorbed the marks directly from those three Evil Gods.”
Charlot was left speechless.
The palace form of the Radiant Holy Kingdom rumbled as its structures reappeared, and even the five figures on its platform were restored. When Charlot saw the alluring figure leading Amon Mecklenburg, his first instinct was to leave immediately!
Before departing, he glanced at the Emilia.
It was still reassembling, its final form unclear.
Returning to the material world, Charlot saw Juno also emerge from the Void. With a snap of his fingers, Juno withdrew the Trident of Yishemierlen into the Mirror World. The Radiant Holy Kingdom, now fully restored, emanated an even grander aura. The ship was enveloped in a five-colored radiance, exuding a sense of divinity, majesty, and purity.
Of course, Charlot knew that the legendary warship had little to do with divinity, majesty, or purity.
Gazing toward the sea, Charlot noticed that Agmirlas had completely disappeared, leaving behind a massive pile of debris resembling a blend of a city and a ship as large as a metropolis.
Charlot shook his head and said to Juno, “Once the Emilia is fully restored, we’ll set sail for home.”
Juno smiled faintly. “Are you leaving the Ghost Fleet in the New Continent?”
After some thought, Charlot replied, “I have no use for them. They’ll stay to guard Mosuli and Blackgolon.”
The Ghost Fleet, which Charlot had captured earlier, was already en route back. He felt no need to recall the fleet stationed on the New Continent.
Taking out his Diary, Charlot turned to the page on the Agmirlas Labyrinth, where a thought surfaced in his mind:
Charlot Mecklenburg successfully challenged the Labyrinth God Agmirlas! With Agmirlas permanently fallen, Charlot Mecklenburg, as the first candidate for the Labyrinth God’s domain, temporarily assumes its divine role, gaining control over 685 labyrinths across the Aggras Sea and 1,500 labyrinth cities on the New Continent.
A peculiar rune suddenly condensed within Charlot’s body.
It was thousands of times more intricate than any rune he had ever seen. From it extended thousands of threads connecting hundreds of islands in the Aggras Sea and every corner of the New Continent.
Charlot stared in stunned silence before realizing that he had seized the most valuable and sweetest fruit from this god-killing endeavor!
Reflecting on the journey, Charlot understood how impossible it was for an ordinary mortal to successfully challenge an Evil God like Agmirlas. Only with Juno’s help, the Radiant Holy Kingdom, the emergence of Emilia, and the fortuitous entanglement of Agmirlas with three other Evil Gods, was he able to “steal home.”
Every factor was indispensable.
Though all the combatants, including the three Evil Gods, Juno, the five divine creatures of the Radiant Holy Kingdom, and Emilia, managed to divide Agmirlas’s essence, energy, and body, none of them held the title of Evil God Challenger. Thus, none of them gained its divine domain.
Charlot, as perhaps the first mortal in the history of this world to challenge and defeat an Evil God, received rewards that should have been unattainable.
Familiarizing himself with the rune of the Labyrinth God, Charlot immediately severed connections with all of Agmirlas’s candidates and pre-selected challengers.
For eons, Agmirlas had invested enormous effort to spread its labyrinthine influence, granting labyrinth power to mortals, spreading its faith across the New Continent, and luring people to transform their cities into labyrinths. These individuals were then compelled to challenge the Labyrinth God, falling in the process and leaving their transformed cities under Agmirlas’s control.
Countless candidates and pre-selected challengers poured their efforts into pursuits that ultimately served only to strengthen Agmirlas.
This was the essence of an Evil God.
Charlot had no desire to be an Evil God, nor did he want challengers targeting him. Without hesitation, he severed all connections, eliminating the threat of future Evil God descents and undoing Agmirlas’s millennia of work.
While this decision closed off the path of growing stronger by harvesting candidates, Charlot felt no regret.
Thirteen days later, the Emilia finally finished digesting the fragments of the Agmirlas Labyrinth.
When the Emilia reappeared on the sea, even Charlot couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a beautiful ship.”
Suddenly, three sinister, eerie runes lit up on Charlot’s back. A silver serpent’s tail emerged from the Void, drawing a circle around the three runes...
