Chapter 513: The Shattering of Agmirlas Labyrinth

Emilia Mecklenburg floated high in the sky, her petite hand pointing toward the endless darkness like a queen of the night, exuding a boundless, domineering presence. Red lightning converged in torrents upon a single section of the heavens at her command, forming a faint image of a fearsome beast with wings of thunder.

The Sea Serpent Queen Posugi didn’t hesitate; she vanished without a trace, leaving behind only Charlot Mecklenburg, awkward and exposed.

Charlot realized only then that Emilia had brought him into this world. Hovering above the Radiant Holy Kingdom, he found himself separated from her by a considerable distance. He wasn’t sure if this was a law of the world itself or some manipulation by Posugi earlier, but his heart brimmed with vigilance.

Seeing Posugi retreat, Emilia directed her hand again. The thunderous beast, as large as a mountain, descended upon Agmirlas Labyrinth. Everything in its path was scorched black.

The labyrinth, floating amidst the black void, seemed unable to withstand the assault. It tilted slightly before completely flipping over.

Charlot caught a glimpse of Agmirlas Labyrinth’s underside, feeling a mental shock so profound it nearly broke his resolve. The base of the labyrinth was a mass of serpentine corridors, writhing like endless worms as they burrowed and twisted in a grotesque dance.

At that moment, Juno Arthur unleashed a powerful Great Prophecy Spell, shattering the intricate corridors. They oozed a viscous black fluid and let out chilling wails, as if alive.

Charlot hesitated, unwilling to enter the fray. The labyrinth’s writhing and twisting corridors were too eerie for him, and as merely a Saint rank, he lacked the confidence to step onto it and return alive.

Charlot, after all, had only reached the 18th tier and had yet to make that final leap. Overhead, three palaces clashed violently in the black void. With each collision, spells of immense destructive power fell like meteors. Though Charlot had witnessed two massive battles before, this scene still left him dazzled and breathless.

It was then that Juno shouted, “Charlot, take control of the Radiant Holy Kingdom. I’m going to enter Agmirlas Labyrinth myself!”

Charlot quickly descended onto the Radiant Holy Kingdom. As soon as he took control of the vessel, Juno dived into the labyrinth’s writhing depths.

The labyrinth flipped once more as Juno landed. The thunderous beast of red lightning had shrunk to a third of its original size, looking rather battered, yet it had wreaked havoc upon the labyrinth. A deep fissure split Agmirlas nearly in two.

Charlot felt a tinge of concern for his mentor. He controlled the Radiant Holy Kingdom, unleashing barrage after barrage of devastating attacks, trying to flip the labyrinth back over.

Suddenly, the labyrinth’s structures began writhing and converging, snuffing out the thunderous beast and leaving only tendrils of lingering smoke.

Emilia grew furious. She unleashed an array of formidable spells, some of which Charlot recognized from Juno’s teachings, while others were utterly unfamiliar. Judging by their forms, they seemed rooted in Blood Clan Verbal Spellcasting, but they had already transcended his understanding. The battle quickly escalated to an even fiercer intensity.

The vicious clash stretched on for what felt like an eternity.

Though Charlot was merely a conduit for five divine entities housed within the Radiant Holy Kingdom, channeling its power had left him utterly exhausted. A third of the vessel had been destroyed, reducing it from a palace to what now resembled a spherical mass of intertwined branches. Emilia’s vessel, originally the magnificent Yishemierlen Palace, fared even worse. It had been reduced to a massive charred lump, barely qualifying as ruins.

Juno had vanished into Agmirlas Labyrinth without a trace. Despite his concern, Charlot could do nothing.

He hurled the Flaming Lance, imbued with the frenzied power of the Flame Evil God Anururu. The explosive impact widened the labyrinth’s largest fissure further. A deafening crack echoed, and Agmirlas split completely in two.

The Radiant Holy Kingdom surged toward the smaller fragment. Countless branches extended, piercing the labyrinth’s ground. Two conscious wills erupted within Charlot’s mind, their thoughts resonating through him: “Delicious, food, Evil God, praise Charlot Mecklenburg!”

“We feast now!”

“Eat! Eat! Eat! Eat...”

Horrified, Charlot saw a small figure leap from the ship and onto the fragmented labyrinth. The figure exploded into countless eyes that rapidly spread across a large section of the labyrinth, contaminating it.

Charlot shut his eyes, overwhelmed by a nauseating sense of corruption. Having faced Evil Gods and True Gods numerous times, his heightened spirituality began to stir dangerously.

Charlot felt his body teetering on the brink of monstrous transformation. Eyes seemed ready to sprout from his flesh, branches from his veins, and an insatiable hunger gnawed at his core. Even his blood vessels seemed poised to twist into labyrinthine corridors.

Without hesitation, Charlot activated Blood Glory, fully immersing himself in the Blood Banquet Meditation.

Blood Glory was divided into Protagoras Breathing Technique and Blood Banquet Meditation. The latter, devised by Protagoras, required meditating on the 37 Blood Ancestors, dissecting them, and consuming them as a feast. The complexity of its rituals and its macabre nature made it the most fearsome technique among all human secret arts.

Charlot visualized the pollution brought by the Evil God as Blood Ancestors, slicing and consuming them with grim resolve. As he devoured them, he also extracted his mutated organs, only to consume them anew.

Through this gruesome process, he purified the impurities in his surging spirituality.

Meanwhile, the fragment of Agmirlas Labyrinth captured by the Radiant Holy Kingdom began to crumble. Charlot could hear the chaotic thoughts of countless entities—raving, filled with greed, malice, and bloodlust. These were the five divine beings comprising the ship, hosting a grand feast.

Charlot sensed Eumibella awakening and joining the fray to claim her share of the spoils.

Emilia, seeming increasingly irate, raised her hand high. The wreckage of her vessel, the Emilia, splintered into hundreds of ghost ships. These ghostly vessels crashed into the other labyrinth fragment, each transforming into specters and vengeful spirits. Emilia, now standing atop the shattered labyrinth, raised a crimson banner high, commanding her spectral army like a queen subjugating all who dared defy her.

Wherever the undead army passed, the labyrinth fragment succumbed to Emilia’s power and fell under her dark influence.
