Cultivation Begins from Infancy - Chapter 425

Volume 3 - Chapter 121: Ten Years, Sword Ancestor Holy Land - Part 1

As the Void Saint made his move again, waves surged within the void. These were the Void Tides, manifestations of the true power of the Void Saint's avatar projection.

Li Hao unfolded his Dao Domain, but the forty-nine layers of Dao Domain were swiftly pierced, leaving him unable to change the situation.

Harnessing the power of the void, he condensed it into a single sword and cleaved the tides before him.

His entire body surged with Dao energy as he raised his hand to strike at the surrounding waves.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Consecutive bursts of Dao energy rippled through the void, sending tremors through the air. Yet, the Void Tides seemed endless, surging continuously toward Li Hao.

At the same time, Li Hao felt an inexhaustible force coursing through his body. His power was abundant, keeping him at the peak of his divine strength.

However, while the Tongli Final Stage brought a qualitative change to his body, it primarily altered his bloodline. The increase in raw strength was not significant; even the immense physical power of his fleshly body, which could lift ten thousand catties, proved inadequate against the Void Tides.

Boom!

The tides drew near, tearing through Li Hao's arms.

Golden divine blood sprayed forth but was not ground to nothing by the void's sharp blades.

Had it been his original body, it would have been ground into oblivion. However, now, the divine blood remained suspended in the void like golden pearls, spinning and distorting under the crushing power of the void. Yet, it did not vanish!

This seemingly minor change filled Li Hao with hope for survival.

Despite his relentless effort to strike with his sword, the void’s power continued to shred his body, leaving it increasingly tattered.

Blood and shattered flesh splattered everywhere as his body was ravaged by the void’s corrosive force, turning it into a sieve of wounds.

Yet, his scattered bone and blood carried traces of his own Dao intent, making it possible for him to reassemble himself. Every droplet of his blood could potentially condense into a true form!

At that moment, Li Hao suddenly understood that the extreme realms of martial arts, including the Tongli Final Stage, were interconnected and mutually reinforcing.

For instance, the seventh extreme realm allowed rebirth from a single drop of blood, enabling the sixth extreme realm to achieve its peak potential.

Now, his divine blood within the Tongli Final Stage allowed his entire body’s blood to reform into true forms. However, without the sublimation of the sixth realm—Extreme Immortal Transformation, where one's will integrates with the heavens and the earth—his reborn blood forms would be mere puppets, devoid of his true consciousness.

But now, his consciousness was intertwined with heaven and earth, making him difficult to extinguish entirely. Combined with the near-indestructible nature of his divine blood, his ability to survive had increased dramatically.

Whoosh!

Under his will’s command, the divine blood scattered in all directions.

Li Hao’s body dissolved into fragments, shooting out in all directions.

“Huh?”

The Void Saint noticed that Li Hao’s flesh and blood resisted obliteration by the void’s power, his expression turning grim.

The reason the Divine Race was dreaded by the Saints lay in their path of Ultimate Dao Sainthood, which was dangerously efficient. Yet, their fleshly bodies were generally weaker than this young man's.

This disparity was likely due to the Divine Race members they encountered being descendants of the ancestors, with diluted bloodlines.

Boom!

The Void Saint raised his hand, causing the void to contract, attempting to imprison all of Li Hao's divine blood.

As the void’s power enveloped and annihilated, much of the divine blood was captured and subjected to relentless refinement, its particles being torn apart tens of thousands of times per second. Yet, it did not vanish immediately.

This process resembled an act of alchemy.

Elsewhere, the remaining divine blood rapidly reformed into multiple copies of Li Hao’s form, scattering across the void.

With a cold expression, the Void Saint imprisoned these copies one by one, refining each droplet of blood.

He hadn’t expected that a mere Dao Seeker Realm cultivator would be so hard to kill.

The gap between a Saint and a Dao Seeker was vast; even a Semi-Saint could obliterate a Dao Seeker with a single thought, not to mention a Saint descending in the form of an avatar.

As more divine blood was captured and refined, the Void Saint found his power increasingly dispersed. Li Hao’s incomplete body fled into the distance, the divine blood behind him coalescing into forms that wielded the power of heaven and earth to strike back, throwing the void into chaos.

...

Li Hao noticed that when he had previously communicated with the Saint’s Mark, the appearance of the Saint’s projection had momentarily opened a rift in the void.

Although that rift had quickly closed, Li Hao had captured its trace.

While unleashing a flurry of sword attacks, he intentionally refrained from fully resisting the corrosive force of the void, allowing his body to grow even more damaged, scattering his divine blood.

Amid the splattered blood, several dozen droplets stealthily merged with the void using the Supreme Phantom Body’s ability, disguising themselves under the All-Manifestations Attribute, and dispersing in multiple directions.

...

“Escape!”

Li Hao knew that continuing to battle the Saint’s avatar here would yield no advantage. Even if he destroyed the avatar, he would likely face the Saint’s true form next.

Moreover, he currently lacked the strength to destroy the avatar; the power gap was too significant.

Had he not briefly touched upon the Celestial Sovereign Will of the sixth extreme realm, even a single trace of Saintly Intent would have been enough to obliterate him!

The challenge of fighting against overwhelming odds was beyond imagination.

Whoosh!

All of Li Hao’s divine blood shot outward. Under his will, it erupted with terrifying power, employing Void Teleportation to scatter across every direction.

Thousands, even tens of thousands, of droplets of divine blood executed Void Teleportation simultaneously, dispersing far and wide in an instant.

Such a maneuver infuriated the Void Saint. What should have been a trivial task—suppressing an insignificant ant—had turned into a frustrating battle against an unyielding survival instinct.

The Void Saint acted swiftly, compressing and solidifying the surrounding void. Many droplets of divine blood emerging from teleportation were locked in place, imprisoned within the void.

However, the crushing void energy could not directly obliterate the divine blood. It could only refine it slowly over time. If the Void Saint relaxed his control, the blood would escape. Maintaining the imprisoning force, on the other hand, drained his energy.

Although the Void Saint's avatar was powerful, it was not omnipotent. The effort required to suppress Li Hao gave him a rare sensation of helplessness.

How could killing a mere Dao Seeker Realm cultivator prove this troublesome?

This frustration only deepened the Void Saint’s determination to kill Li Hao. The void rippled once more as a second avatar projection descended. Now, two avatars worked together, capturing and refining the scattered divine blood.

Boom!

Li Hao’s body was torn apart completely by the Void Tides. Yet, even as his bones and blood scattered, fragments of his form escaped in all directions.

Should the Void Saint attempt to track the blood using Saintly Intent, Li Hao would counter with the Celestial Sovereign Will he had glimpsed. This forced the Void Saint to rely on laborious methods to track and suppress him.

Li Hao’s thoughts grew cold and calculated. His rage simmered beneath the surface, but he suppressed it with focused determination.

On certain fragments of his divine blood, he stealthily applied the concealing properties of Jiangxue Diagram and Hidden Bow. Using the technique known as Hidden Line, he stretched these fragments into near-invisible threads, concealing them amidst the chaos of the void.

Meanwhile, other droplets either fled or reassembled into forms of his body, unleashing waves of Sword Tide that roared toward the Void Saint’s avatars, creating a deafening commotion.

Li Hao’s goal was not to counterattack but to obscure the Void Saint’s perception.

Against a Saint, his current strength was wholly inadequate. His only option was to bide his time and escape.

Earlier, he had committed the faint traces of the void rift to memory. Now, he used some of his concealed divine blood to move toward that location in secret.

...

In the void, tides clashed against waves of sword qi. The Void Saint, growing increasingly impatient, merged the power of his two avatars and raised a hand to press downward.

In an instant, the void solidified as though time itself had frozen.

Even Li Hao’s divine blood, which had teleported across vast distances, was immobilized. Within a radius of thousands of miles, every droplet of divine blood was frozen in place.

The Void Saint then raised his hand, gradually refining the imprisoned blood.

Previously, a single gesture would have obliterated such blood instantly. Now, however, the divine blood, resembling golden pearls, required careful grinding and refining over time.

The Void Saint, though visibly irritated, could only persist in this painstaking process. This encounter, though aggravating, had proven fruitful for him. At least he had witnessed firsthand some of the secrets behind the Divine Race.

As time passed, every drop of divine blood, every shard of bone, and all remaining traces of Li Hao within the void were methodically refined and obliterated.

“A Dao Seeker Realm cultivator this hard to kill is truly a rarity,” the Void Saint muttered. “The Divine Race relies on fleshly cultivation... It seems my path of body refinement still has much room for improvement. Refining the body is not entirely without merit.”

The Void Saint’s gaze swept over the void. All traces had been cleared.

Extending his perception, he soon detected a faint ripple in the void.

Boom!

With a swift motion of his hand, the void trembled, and a droplet of divine blood was forced out.

The Void Saint studied it for a moment before continuing the process of refining it.
