Chapter 471: The Complete Radiant Holy Kingdom
Added 2025-05-29 15:01:02 +0000 UTCCharlot Mecklenburg suddenly found himself missing the Black Dragon.
That old lizard often came up with reliable ideas. Although these ideas were typically plain and lacked the brilliance of the legendary schemers who calculated everything to perfection, they were always practical.
After passing through the Golden Ram Palace, Charlot had sailed for a long time without encountering a second labyrinth, leaving him feeling somewhat lost. He consulted his teacher, Juno Arthur, but the seasoned Byron powerhouse only smiled and said, “I trust you,” offering no advice. It was clear that this was meant to “hone” his abilities.
Charlot, however, wasn’t particularly interested in honing his abilities.
All he wanted was to break free from the Evil God’s shackles quickly so he could return to the Mecklenburg duchy and enjoy peaceful days with Princess Annie.
After convening five rounds of meetings with his subordinates, the most valuable suggestion he received was to release the Radiant Holy Kingdom.
Unsurprisingly, it was Andreas who proposed this idea, and it gained strong support from most of the Saint rank subordinates, including a number of mid- to lower-level officers of the West Wind Knight Order.
Although Charlot hadn’t brought Dubin and the others along, there was still a group of old companions who had followed him for a long time. These veterans strongly demanded some leisure entertainment, which wasn’t an unreasonable request.
Especially since they were now off the standard route and unlikely to engage in battle with Georgia Hadrian.
Charlot still hesitated!
After announcing yet another adjournment, he ascended to the highest deck of the Dolmabahçe. This legendary warship, resembling a palace, boasted more than ten towering ship structures and an equal number of staggered decks connecting them.
He gazed at the vast ocean ahead, his mood indescribably anxious.
Just as Charlot was enjoying the sea breeze, trying to grasp the source of his confusion and crush it, a white streak suddenly tore through the sky behind him. His spirits immediately lifted as he shouted, “Cresto! Enemy attack!”
Charlot’s most trusted “bodyguard” at the moment was Cresto, the former Grand Commander of the Royal Knights and a twenty-third-rank Radiant Holy Knight.
After all, Cresto was immensely powerful!
Moreover, Cresto was now linked to the protective magical array of the Dolmabahçe. If they held their ground, even someone like Georgia Hadrian might not be able to breach the defenses of this Fars powerhouse anytime soon.
However, Cresto did not take to the air. Instead, he spoke in a low voice, “It’s Gareth.”
Charlot was stunned. “Gareth? Why is he back again?”
Charlot had always assumed that Gareth, like Drusineia, had escaped at the earliest opportunity. He never expected Gareth to return, thinking of him more as a stray Samoyed…
Certainly not a loyal golden retriever.
Cautious as always, Charlot said, “Be ready to protect me at any moment.”
Cresto acknowledged the order, his own curiosity piqued.
Soon, Gareth descended gracefully from the sky. Before he could utter a word, Charlot had already fixed his gaze on the massive fang Gareth was holding. A bright smile spread across his face as he said, “If you’re back, you’re back! Why bring such a thing?”
Charlot rushed forward and grabbed the Sea Serpent Queen Posugi’s fang, comforting Gareth as he said, “You’ve worked hard.”
Gareth knelt on one knee and declared, “For Father’s grand cause, Gareth is ready to die a thousand times over.”
Charlot instructed, “Take Gareth to wash up and prepare him a great feast! After you’ve eaten, I’ll send two of the finest Mirror Spirits over. Or you can pick one yourself if you prefer.”
Charlot didn’t bother mentioning why Gareth had fled or questioning his loyalty. The fact that Gareth had returned was enough for him to let bygones be bygones. Besides, Gareth had brought back the fang of the Sea Serpent Queen Posugi. Even if he had disappeared for a year and a half, Charlot felt it was acceptable.
Children going out to play and not wanting to come home—what’s the big deal?
Gareth departed swiftly, offering no explanation from start to finish.
Andreas fixated on the fang and said, “Charlot, release the Radiant Holy Kingdom already.”
The Golden Ram Herolf couldn’t help but chime in, “Yes, yes! Let’s see the Radiant Holy Kingdom!”
Charlot had no more excuses. He first threw his golden ring far into the air. With a thunderous roar, the Radiant Holy Kingdom materialized on the sea’s surface. Then, summoning his strength, Charlot hurled the Sea Serpent Queen Posugi’s fang into the warship.
As the fang landed on the Radiant Holy Kingdom, it immediately transformed into a faint light and disappeared.
In an instant, countless voices flooded Charlot’s mind.
“Charlot Mecklenburg, get these wretches out of here!”
“How could you bring that shrew Posugi here?”
“Why are there so many people in this household?”
“Why is that scoundrel Dabachiro here too?”
“Father, they’re fighting again.”
Charlot closed his eyes and suddenly understood one thing.
The Radiant Holy Kingdom had never been complete. It had been broken long before its recent damage.
This legendary warship had never been this crowded with wretches before!
Now it was bustling.
Super bustling, in fact.
Charlot Mecklenburg observed the flanks of the legendary warship, noticing a streak of blue newly added. On the left side, amidst the surging waves, a mighty whale swam majestically. On the right side, a peculiar serpent weaved through the endless crests of the ocean, playing with the waves.
At the ship’s bow, the Ancient Gomodoro Tree swayed, radiating a vibrant glow. Eumibella, nailed to the ship's bottom, opened her eyes in alarm, realizing her body was melding into the ship’s hull. She had originally been pinned there by Saint Michael’s feather and was not part of the Radiant Holy Kingdom, yet now, after Charlot had completed the twelve extraordinary requirements—
The venomous fang of the Sea Serpent Queen Posugi
The tears of the Whale King
The branches of the Ancient Gomodoro Tree
The Labyrinth God's corruption
The essence of the Blood Ancestor
The blessing of one of the Nine True Gods
The hatred of a beloved one
The destiny of a divine being
The blood of a peak Saint rank
The favor of the Red Dragon Emperor
The reward of the Lionheart King
The indifference of a devoted servant—
Eumibella was fully merging with the legendary warship.
“Charlot Mecklenburg! You cannot do this...”
“We had a pact!”
“We had a child together...”
“Amon, beg your father to stop.”
“I am about to be trapped on this cursed ship forever!”
“No! I am about to become this cursed ship.”
Charlot felt as if his mind were being violently stirred. He was about to reclaim the legendary warship when Andreas exclaimed excitedly, “You’ve completely repaired the Radiant Holy Kingdom. There’s no need to reclaim it anymore. Let it be your flagship!”
“Let’s go take a look together and see what changes have occurred on this ship!”
As Andreas finished speaking, the Golden Ram Herolf cheered loudly, and several Saints ascended into the air. A few officers under Charlot’s command, relying on their extraordinary abilities, either leapt into the sea or ran across the waves, while some simply swam over. Soon, the Radiant Holy Kingdom was bustling with activity.
Charlot hesitated for a moment but decided not to reclaim the legendary warship. He could sense that his bond with it had deepened significantly. He could even feel every corner of the ship, including areas he had never explored before. The blue giants on the ship seemed to have multiplied. Clearly, the Ancient Gomodoro Tree had proliferated further, even altering the memories of all the wriggling demons, making them believe their population had always been this large.
Juno Arthur also came out to join the commotion.
He looked at the legendary warship, smiled faintly, and said, “I recall you own a Saint rank weapon called Bloodfiend, don’t you?”
Charlot nodded. Juno said, “Why don’t you try tossing the Bloodfiend onto the ship? I guarantee it’ll make things even more interesting.”
Charlot hesitated for a moment but rejected his teacher’s unreliable suggestion. The Bloodfiend was still quite useful, and it was unlikely to be compatible with the Radiant Holy Kingdom. The ship was chaotic enough as it was; there was no need to make it worse.
After a few jokes, Juno suddenly tilted his head slightly, chuckled, and said, “It seems my lost little kitty has returned home.”
He made a mock grabbing motion in the air, and a "mermaid" was pulled from the sea.
Drusineia struggled fiercely and shouted, “Let me go!”
Juno casually tossed her onto the deck and said indifferently, “Why did you think of coming back?”
Drusineia shouted angrily, “I didn’t want to come back! I got lost!”
Juno shrugged and said, “Then leave.”
Drusineia turned and jumped back into the sea.
Charlot looked surprised and asked, “Are you really letting her go?”
“Even if you let her go, you should at least retrieve your Bloodfiend from her!”
“Or, if you no longer want it, you can give it to me.”
Before Juno could respond, Charlot heard a loud "bah!" from someone nearby. Drusineia leaped back onto the deck with a flip and said, “You can forget about getting Master’s Bloodfiend.”
Charlot shrugged and said, “I don’t currently lack Saint rank weapons.”
Juno snapped his fingers, and Doria appeared out of nowhere, handing Drusineia a towel. Drusineia wrapped herself up and followed Doria back to Juno’s cabin.
Charlot wasn’t sure what to make of this and whispered, “Aren’t you going to punish her?”
Juno smiled and said, “Are you planning to punish Gareth?”
Charlot replied decisively, “He returned the fang of the Sea Serpent Queen Posugi and made a significant contribution. I have no reason to punish him.”
Juno said calmly, “And how do you know Drusineia hasn’t brought me a surprise as well?”
Charlot chuckled, thinking his teacher was just being stubborn.
Deciding to drop the subject, he said, “Teacher, let’s go aboard the Radiant Holy Kingdom together. This ship should hold many more secrets.”
Juno nodded and was about to grab Charlot to take him along when both of them turned their heads simultaneously, their gazes drawn to the towering palace appearing on the sea...
