Community update December 31st 2023
Added 2023-12-31 02:21:49 +0000 UTCHi everyone. As it's the last day of the year and as I've been a bit quiet this month I thought I would share this update.
I've had an extended break from work for the second half of this month as I had a Hernia repair surgery back on the 12th of December and I've been recovering from that. I've now pretty much fully recovered and I'm feeling good so expect to see more updates as I continue work on the Dwarven buildings asset pack next month, my one day a week childcare doesn't start up again until the second week of the month I think so there might not be much to see next week but there should be the week after.
Over the last few days I've also started listing my products on cartographyassets.com and I also plan to sell directly through patreon when I get around to setting it up. I've ended my exclusive agreement with DrivethruRPG so, while you will still see my products there, you'll begin to see them elsewhere as well. For now I will still fulfill all the patreon rewards through DrivethruRPG just because I know how to use their system and they have good tools for sending complementary copies but I'll let you know if I plan to change this.
Looking to the year ahead, as well as the one day a week childcare we are also looking at starting the twins at kindergarten a few mornings a week. This will hopefully translate into me having more time to work on cartography projects and will hopefully mean more products for all of you.
Finally, I've been thinking about making some changes to how the patreon subscriptions work. Specifically I'm thinking about making every third monthly asset pack a patron exclusive asset pack and changing the new subscriber rewards so a new patron only gets the existing patron exclusive packs rather than all the packs. All active members of the medieval manor tier or above will continue to get the new packs and other products as they come out. I'm also thinking about getting rid of the other tiers and just keeping medieval manor as this is the only one that sees much use anyway. Let me know what you think about his though as none of it is set in stone yet.

I've gone through and updated the membership tiers now. For existing members there will be no change, all the differences are for new subscribers. I've slimmed it down to just medieval manor. I ended up going with a slightly different model than I outlined above. Rather than all my paid products, new members will now get both the map packs and their choice of 6 asset packs, plus all other asset packs available at a 50% discount. I'm still undecided on whether or not to do some of the monthly map packs as patron exclusive, currently I'm thinking that I won't and I'll instead try and do some more bonus asset packs that will be member exclusive.

2023-12-31 02:43:38 +0000 UTCHope your recovery continues to go well. I have seen alot of successful patreons not offer access to backlogs. However they offer discount codes I have seen anywhere from 30-50% off to new patreon subscribers if they want to purchase previous pack work whether it be on drivethrurpg or their own website. Have a happy new year, look forward to seeing what you create in 2024.
