Chapter 277: Welcome Aboard the Queen Bee

The Mirror Spirit stood atop the surging waves of the ocean, like a regal prince of the sea. It even performed a formal imperial bow and smiled warmly, saying, “Welcome aboard the Queen Bee!”

Charlot Mecklenburg couldn’t help but reply, “Since when did you get smarter?”

The Mirror Spirit offered a graceful smile. “It’s because your strength has grown.”

Charlot glanced around at the vast, tumultuous ocean. Suddenly, a realization dawned on him. The mirror in the captain’s cabin could only reflect that confined space, but the portholes had experienced every sea the Queen Bee had sailed through. This was the largest mirror world he had ever seen—boundless and infinite.

The Mirror Spirit, of course, wasn’t being truthful.

Charlot could sense that an unusual aura, unrelated to the Van Gogh Clan, emanated from this Mirror Spirit. Most likely, a mysterious power aboard the Queen Bee had influenced the Mirror Spirit, leading to changes Charlot couldn’t predict.

Charlot drew Blood Rose.

In response, the Mirror Spirit unsheathed a rapier, assuming a combat stance.

Charlot raised an eyebrow slightly and began to execute the Angel’s Twelve Movements swordsmanship. The Mirror Spirit mirrored his actions, flawlessly replicating the technique. Their duel erupted at lightning speed, clashing fiercely through fifty or sixty exchanges within moments.

Every strike Charlot delivered was countered by the Mirror Spirit with precision, matching his speed, angles, and the fluidity of his techniques exactly.

It truly was like battling a reflection of himself.

Charlot remained calm. During the ferocious battle, he suppressed Blood Rose and, with a miraculous flick of his wrist, produced Red Viper. Without hesitation, he pulled the trigger.

The Mirror Spirit, astonishingly, also conjured a short pistol. However, it didn’t fire but instead froze, its expression filled with shock and humiliated betrayal.

Charlot fired several consecutive shots, shattering the Mirror Spirit. Even as its body fragmented and dissipated into nothingness, its face remained locked in disbelief. It couldn’t comprehend how Charlot wielded a power it couldn’t replicate.

After slaying the Mirror Spirit, Charlot sensed a faint connection to the Infinite Mirror World, leaving him with a peculiar feeling. Typically, one could only grasp the Mirror World’s power fully by eliminating a Mirror Spirit. Yet now, he had gained just a fragment. He quickly realized the reason: the Mirror Worlds of the five portholes were interconnected.

Charlot chuckled to himself. “Why did I bother fighting my way up? The Queen Bee is filled with bee-wing-shaped portholes. I could simply master each Mirror World one by one and move freely throughout the ship…”

“I’m still too accustomed to thinking like an ordinary person. I’ve forgotten this is a world of extraordinary abilities.”

With a casual flick of his wrist, Charlot shot a leaping fish. The vastness of the Mirror World complicated matters. The Queen Bee had sailed through countless seas, creating an expansive and chaotic Mirror World. It was impossible to kill every living being he encountered; there were simply too many.

Charlot decided the only solution was to lure the Mirror Spirits out and destroy them.

The earlier shot had easily dispatched one Mirror Spirit, but it would serve as a warning to the others, making them more cunning.

Charlot closed his eyes and smiled faintly, tossing Red Viper high into the air. Then he kept his eyes shut.

The pistol reached its apex before plummeting downward. Just as it neared the ocean surface, two figures materialized, reaching out to grab it.

Suddenly, Red Viper turned mid-air, its grip sprouting a blood-red hand. It fired repeatedly, obliterating the two Mirror Spirits.

Charlot felt the scope of the Mirror World under his control expand more than threefold. He smiled, stepping forward and sinking into the “sea.” His foot soon found solid ground.

A mirror could never reflect the true depths of the ocean. Though the Mirror World’s ocean seemed vast, with towering waves, it lacked the profound depth of a real sea. Its waters were shallow.

The Flame Dragon’s Hand returned Red Viper to Charlot. He caught the vampiric pistol, spun it deftly, and commanded, “Part the sea!”

A white line unfurled beneath Charlot’s feet, dividing the boundless waters into two halves—one under his control and the other belonging to the remaining Mirror Spirits.

Two versions of Charlot emerged from the opposing Mirror Worlds. As mere Mirror Spirits, they couldn’t fathom human cunning. They assumed Charlot had devised a devastating method to defeat them and prepared to strike with overwhelming force.

One Mirror Spirit wielded a rapier, while the other gripped pistols in both hands. Charlot fired seven or eight shots, all deflected by the Mirror Spirits’ weapons.

Charlot’s expression grew serious. The strength of these Mirror Spirits was marginally greater than the one he had previously defeated.

However, his test confirmed they weren’t mere illusions; they were genuine Mirror Spirits.

Since he had left his Anti-Magic Armor-Piercing Rounds behind for his infiltration of Saint Michael Island, Charlot had relied on deception to kill the first three Mirror Spirits by catching them entirely off guard.

Charlot moved at blinding speed, engaging the two Mirror Spirits in a chaotic skirmish. Meanwhile, the Flame Dragon’s Hands calmly reloaded Red Viper and Blue Rattlesnake, switching their magazines to Life Devour mode. The pistols fired relentlessly at the sea behind the Mirror Spirits.

One by one, the creatures of the sea fell, and with each death, Charlot’s control over the Mirror World expanded.

The two Mirror Spirits shrieked in terror as the ocean in their Mirror World began to boil. Enraged, they summoned countless fish, sea monsters, and oceanic sprites to launch a massive assault against Charlot’s domain.

Charlot smirked, countering with his own sea creatures, which clashed violently with their forces.

The Mirror Spirits hadn’t anticipated that every time they unleashed a powerful sea monster, the Flame Dragon’s Hands would shoot it down instantly. Charlot’s Mirror World grew steadily stronger, while their attacks only exacerbated their plight.

Charlot pressed forward relentlessly. Suddenly, the Mirror World dimmed slightly. One of the Mirror Spirits’ powers waned dramatically, and Charlot struck it down with a single effortless slash. With one more defeated, Charlot gained an overwhelming advantage. Moments later, he dispatched the last Mirror Spirit.

Now in full control of the Mirror Worlds from all five portholes, Charlot stood upon the mirrored sea and snapped his fingers. The five Mirror Worlds merged seamlessly with the captain’s cabin mirror.

Just as Charlot was about to leave the Mirror World, he overheard a conversation. Peering through the Mirror World, he spotted Herolf in the captain’s cabin, berating several subordinates.
