Alright after extensive review I found a few bad sectors on the Seagate (a good drive, but failures happen) which caused the second attempt at animating to corrupt beyond all recognition. Ordered a new drive, because bad sectors spread like religion. As predicted the drive failed (yesterday) so I spent the day installing the new one and transferring my backups.
I need to get caught up on images so animating is going on the wayside for a few months. Oh, the image above is from a long term story I had planned but Then I decided to try Patreon. I should get back on it as a side project.
