TAPE 8 - rough storyboards
Added 2024-05-10 17:43:48 +0000 UTCI'm trying to work on the next CRUSH3D!! chapter! But I'm slow.
Attached below are 3 big jpeg files. They are not yet coherent storyboards (only the first file is close to that).
The rest is only what I call "script doodles", where I put my thoughts and ideas into drawings and dialogue to think about scenes better. I roughly noted what I wanna include in the next chapter, but making the real storyboard out of these doodles will take another while. I plan to show the finished storyboard here later.
But as some people on Twitter were already curious about the idea sketches, Imma give them to you in advance, knowing very well, that they are not exactly readable. Just something for people who have a thing for really zooming into drawings and deciphering scribbly text and sketches XD!
OH AND for the scribbles: cw= domestic abuse, violence, childhood trauma
And also,I wanna show them to simply prove to y'all, that I'm not doing nothing and have a bit of art planned out, even tho' I am still far away from new finished comic pages.
But please keep in mind, I do these doodles to find out what has to be thrown out of the comic, so all scenes might change or get dropped later!~

I'll ramble about it a lot here --------------SPOILER------------- 1)Always appreciate that Reuben content! Didn't expect you to go so into DETAIL for his backstory tho you'll probably cut some of it out.I can feel how much you love his character through it and I think he'll be a lot of people's favorite character after this. IMO you improved him in such a major way from previous iteration, he's no longer boring, his personality now is so endearing and strong but also funny and cute? 2)I also didn't expect that you would give Phanda and Reuben so much chemistry and such an amazing backstory.I hope you keep their romantic moments as they were here cause they are top tier.Really appreciate how much personality you gave Phanda, she's the LOML. That's the true love triangle for me,when both options are amazing in their own way. I hope she stays Reuben's best friend even after they break up 3)Reuben's dad😡He had one nice moment in the beginning and then turned into the biggest piece of shit ever.If you cut anything here I hope it's some of the beating scenes cause I'm pussy and can't handle it to that extent, a bit too much for me >< It's interesting that he didn't really improve in this version and even after he got imprisoned he still kept beating Reuben afterwards. It makes both him and the mom seem a lot worse than previously since she just tolerated all of that all the time. Welp, no forgiveness possible here 4)Carter is in full idealization mode, tho I get it cause I am too XD I lol'ed when he wished that Reuben was fatter. Their moments were v cute too 5)Last one, Reuben opened up really quickly which suits his overly honest personality but I can't see that being the case for Carter and Scott. Carter is the main character so ofc it'll take a while but also I think Scott too cause he is super closed off and I can't see him spilling things to someone he doesn't know that well.Also, I guess he was at church this chapter? XDD -----SPOILER-------
