2023-05-16 20:02:22 +0000 UTCI don't know if this is just a good background and expositional flashback for the readers to gain a little insight on Carter's thought process but I thought the detail of him recounting events from the very beginning during his dissociation a really nice touch. The thoughts of "how did I get this way" in the middle of partaking in unhealthy coping behaviors really nails the guilt and disgust Carter seems to feel about himself in general and I think it adds incredible depth!! Fantastic writing !
