Design Poll - Dragon Design

OK so, this is because I saw some very powerful artwork of Wargreymon (My beloved) and it got me thinking on Drakk here. I'm thinking about maybe doing away with the secondary palm/sole colouring and just leaving those plain. Just let the shadows do all the talking. What do you guys think?
I am interested to hear your thoughts and reasoning if you want to share.

As a disclaimer on this one, this is to gather information. so no changes aligning with the polls are guaranteed.
There's a couple of final things I wanted to tackle with him. So figure I better get some information before I go back and do some updates.

Yeah I follow, sometimes those added effects show if something is going to work or not. I think it's that and I do tend to do the two toned look a lot, I feel like scalie characters are one of the few that can get away with not having it and pulling it off. I might mess with the colour it's self some more, maybe the contrast is just too bright and needs a couple of tones down. Also wanted to say I appreciate the comments, it's good stuff thank you.

It was gorgeously rendered and beautifully proportioned, casual to boot - well befitting of the inspiration of another yellow scaled hunk~ But yeah, have a play around with it, with and without dust? That can add another layer to contrast - if it can be seen with dust/grime/texture in the way then it's typically enough; in my (vastly limited) experience

IT WAS REALLY GOOD. But that's a thought actually, I might need to mess with the second colour some more, bring it down a little so it's more slight.. I am normally a fan of contrast but I don't know, something keeps drawing me back to this point for Drakk specifically.

Hehe, I feel like I know which artwork you saw - I'm always gonna be in favour of contrast, even a slight variation adds a ton to a picture
