Design Poll - Spikes or Spades

Back to this yellow boy.
To try and keep it short, I've been tinkering on Drakks look over the last few months and I'm liking where he's at currently, especially colour wise (always been a fan of warmer yellows.) Anyway was never very happy with how his tail was and something I found during "the rat era" is I really enjoy drawing those thick solid tails, those curves are very satisfying to make and look at.
So I figure screw it, get rid of the fur. Issue is he really does need some kind of detail on the tail as leaving it plain doesn't sit right. So after going through some options I've settled on these two.
So oh yeah, poll time!
