So a big issue I always have is finding environments to do the dirty in. Awhile back I released my Skyrim room, which came with a minimal asset pack of Skyrim ports. I've been thinking about that for awhile now and I've decided that I want a bigger pack to pull assets from. Instead of just grabbing at stuff randomly until I have enough, I'm in the process of rebuilding one of the Skyrim Tavern maps in Blender. Now, Skyrim does not have the best quality assets, but with a bit of touching up, they can look good enough, and I'm also pulling from some of the general improvement mods so that various things will look better than they otherwise would. The goal is simple: have a nice package of game assets with nice materials to assemble environments from.

Now, there is a slight caveat: Blender does not handle a lot of objects active at the same time. It starts to chug the program very quickly. Honestly, my solution will probably be to just pre-combine everything in scenes I build, which is viable. I'm not after perfection here, I'm just after a solution that will ease one of the bigger headaches of working with blender: a very limited number of pre-built scenes and a lack of assets to quickly build your own without a budget.

* As I'm pulling from modding resources, modders will be credited when I release these assets.
