Merry Christmas & Status Update

Hi Guys!

It's Christmas! But first things first, the presents will have to wait a little while longer. :(

Those of you who are on my Discord server have seen a lot of automatic messages from the "Tomoewewe" bot in the #gitlab-notification channel in the past couple of days. Every time such a message is generated, someone from my team did something for Month 1. In the past couple of days, we have been able to contribute a lot to the completion of Month 1.

Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to deliver a Merry Christmas to you, as I had hoped for, however I wanted to inform you about the current development and briefly talk about future merges.

There won't be a big merge for an extraordinarily long time after Month 1 is complete, so we will no longer run the risk of a delay. No, seriously, the next big merge will probably not come, if it comes at all, until Month 6. Maybe we will just scrap that idea, and the next merge of all Ecchi Sensei game files will not take place until Day 365 is completed.

Thanks to some new achievements in editing the Ren'Py core code, we may have the option to never worry about merges again. I believe that is a great relief for both the dev team and all of you, our lovely patrons.

In any case, this is what is going to happen after Month 1: We'll be rolling out one update after the other, and of course there will be Specials again. Some, if not all of them, will also be integrated into the main game somehow. (For example: dream sequences, pastime stories, etc.)

Anyway, to end on a proper note:

Hallo Leute!

Es ist Weihnachten! But first of all, giving presents will have to wait a while longer.  :(

Diejenigen von Euch, die auf meinem Discord Server sind, haben in den letzten Tagen im #gitlab-notification Kanal sehr viele automatische Meldungen vom "Tomoewewe" Bot zu Gesicht bekommen. Jedes Mal, wenn so eine Nachricht erzeugt wird, hat jemand aus meinem Team etwas für Monat 1 gemacht und wie gesagt: In den letzten Tagen konnten wir sehr viel zur Fertigstellung von Monat 1 beitragen.

Leider hat es aber nicht ausgereicht, um wie von mir erhofft, euch zu Weihnachten eine Freude zu machen, aber nichtsdestotrotz wollte ich euch über die aktuellen Entwicklungen informieren und nochmal kurz über zukünftige Merges reden.

Es wird nach der Fertigstellung von Monat 1 sehr, sehr, sehr lange keinen großen Merge mehr geben. Somit laufen wir auch nicht mehr in Gefahr eines Delays. Schlau, oder? Nein, ernsthaft. Der nächste große Merge wird wohl erst (wenn überhaupt) mit Monat 6 kommen. Vielleicht kacken wir aber auch komplett darauf und die nächste Zusammenführung sämtlicher Ecchi Sensei Spieldateien wird erst mit Vollendung von Tag 365 stattfinden.

Wir haben dank einiger neuer Errungenschaften durch Editierungen des Ren'Py Kerncodes nun die Möglichkeiten, uns nicht mehr so einen Stress wegen Merges machen zu müssen, und das ist für uns wie wohl auch für Euch eine große Erleichterung.

In jedem Fall siehts nach Monat 1 wie folgt aus: Wir ballern dann wieder ein Update nach dem anderen raus und es wird auch natürlich wieder Specials geben, die sich zum Teil, wenn nicht sogar gänzlich auch in das Hauptspiel integrieren werden. (Zum Beispiel aus Traumsequenzen oder Geschichten aus der Vergangenheit etc.)

Wie dem auch sei, langer Rede kurzer Sinn:
