Your guys' political leaning is such that you think its fine being controlled and deceived as long as you aren't too uncomfortable. Pretty gross imo. Amazing movie. Most of the plot points do make sense if you're paying attention (and are a human), and I think Roddy Piper did a great job for his role. The convenient watch portal towards the end was pretty dumb though I agree. You guys not understanding the "motivations" of people is seriously just you not paying attention hahaha. The girl is clearly bought into the alien's system and wants to keep it that way so she can live a cushy life and she's intelligent enough to not show her hand immediately. Roddy going into the bank at the beginning happens DIRECTLY after the cops were trying to attack and kill him. He's already been put into a life and death situation so he decides to fight instead of run away. He didn't see aliens and start blasting right away, he just started laughing at them and got himself in trouble. Not that farfetched hahahaha The ending does wrap up a little too quickly for my liking as well. I wish there was an extended cut or something that would really go into humanity's reaction to finding out the truth and how that plays out. It was also based off of someone else's short story, not John Carpenter's story; he just expanded on it.
