Over time I asked CGL about this idea of letting me run otherwise NDA content on my patreon, as a way to incentivize me working full time freelance on this kickstarter, as I would take an income hit compared to other employment options and they don't offer heathcare, etc. So this is a fully CGL sanctioned operation where I keep all the money pledged here. I've got several rules to follow by them to keep it all in check, such as not offering "product" as rewards such as prints or custom BT commission rewards (I can still do that outside patreon). Any time I post work by my crew, such as sculpts or Bishops designs, I get permission from said artists.

As long as CGL can get it out in a timely fashion... which lets face it they have a problem with. Oh and a web-store that sells them and is easy to navigate OHHH and stock in the models...

Wow, this looks fantastic! I initially was a bit ambivalent about this design because I liked the more angular look that MWO went with, but this definitely exceeded my expectations. It has a distinctive predatory look while the old model just looked droopy.

Anthony, can you clarify something? Are you or Catalyst earning the money off of this Patreon account? If you are earning the money, doesn't that mean you are profiteering off the IP of Catalyst Games? You know, pretty much the same thing that Catalyst/Topps just went after everyone after? Are your employers (Catalyst) aware you are doing this? Is this account viewed as an extension of Catalyst, and do the funds go to you or to Catalyst?

Yep. There's definitely crossfire casualties. Those people should be able to edit their posts or re-upload without using trademarks. No one is trying to take down truly original stuff, terrain especially. If the actual piracy wasn't so rampant CGL might have been able to go in with some nuance, but it's too widespread for a small company to handle each individual file.

Anthony, regarding the "piratepocalypse" there are people that are mad for legit reasons. Open hex grid stuff got taken down. Real life tank models got taken down. Stuff that the community has put hundreds of hours into that do NOT infringe on CGL at all, and they got taken down by the shotgun blast approach. While I appreciate your stance, the glibness sits poorly with me, and I've been on this patreon for a while, and put over $600 into the KS, despite being a 3D print enthusiast. I get CGL had to protect themselves, but how you phrase this comes across poorly for those hit that didn't do anything wrong.

I was kinda sceptical about the round nose, but the 3d art just always wins. I cant wait to see the final posed model. *read in b33f voice* Baby you got nicer legs than a raven.

hell yes, cant wait to have them on the table and i would like to have the mech commander intro redone with these 3d models! (tiny request...can the timberwolf win this time? :-D everytime i´m watching the intro i´m hoping he wins :-D)

Very cool mech! As a capellan fan i'm looking forward to this one especially for painting and fielding in 2021. Regarding the IP discussion: I think this is the right thing what CGL did...especially with the KS. Firms have to protect their IP as it is the base for making money.
