Nova Cat Concept Sketch

Just spotted the heel toes bit, i'd stay away from them. Yes, it fits because most of the Clan mechs do have the back toes but it is unique in the way this one's feet are designed. Same reason I am going to cut off the Dire Wolf's inner toes and probably the War Hawk's as well.

if I had any reccomendation at all, it would be to bring back the Wizkids "Hex Pods" around the weapons. I really liked that look.

I LOVE this!!! Totally agree that not much needs/needed to be changed (see my comment regarding the head) and I have at least two of these in my personal unit, my wife has one in hers and I would totally get more with the new look!

Looks great overall, especially the head. I'd like to see the "belly" stick out further, like the FM:Warden Clans cover (and MW4).

I really like the shoulders. They keep the original bulbous design, but that added details make them feel mechanical while I felt the older design made them look bloated.

Another great mech given a great new rendition and even better with the slick shades.

My exposure to Battletech came through MWDA first, and one of the things I really liked about the Nova Cat mini there was that the weapons felt more like actual laser weapons. The art and the IWM mini always felt kinda like there were just... tubes stuck on the arms, not quite as much character to them. These are definitely leaning more to the MWDA mini feel to it. Looks good!

I really like this version you have shown here, I wouldn't change anything on it...

The head change is possible, but my theory is more people will dislike the MWDA shift, than those pushing for it. My position is that the MWDA head is indeed cool, but not entirely needed. A clean knight head is cool too, if not as exciting.

I know it's a very unique feature, it's just never been realistic, putting a lot of extra strain on that final joint, and sinking that joint into the dirt.

Have to agree with Benjamin and Jordan, MW:DA really mastered the Nova Cat head, and I would kill to see the mini share that design. The feet look better with the heel-toe IMO, but I'm sure many will dislike this change.

Is the head going to slope into the back of the mech like the IWM model or be more like separate unit like the MWDA one? ps. Looks good, but I prefer the sharp nose "Robocop 2" look on the cockpit like the MWDA version.

Legs feel a bit lanky and skinny, maybe too tall? And not loving the head, if I'm being honest. The MWDA Clix has the PERFECT Nova Cat head, IMO.

NO on the heel toes. One of the Nova Cat's identifiable features is that it is a toe-walker. (Like the Thanatos)

IMO clan mechs bring more tech and style than IS, but overall it's on both sides. I just make sure to identify where it's needed on a case by case basis.

This has been one of the top most desired Mechs gor a resculpt for a while - the current one looks way too deep. I'm so happy to see this pretty much not change at all from the OG art. Love it. Thank you!

I like what you’re doing with all the clan mech. Leaving the “ugly” in. Clan are an utilitarian society and would not create stylish Mechs. Their looks and shapes would be based on function. Of course there is the rule of cool but still I like the “ugly”

I just fought one of those the other night. I wish my star had not been completely wiped out, as I was hoping to take the Nova Cat as Isorla. It’s a great design and I love what you’ve done with it.
