Warhawk Concept Sketch

Time for another iconic big boy. One I've drawn before, and I played heavily in mwo for it's mobility, relative compactness (compared to a Dire Whale or Kodiak barn door), slapping a pair of UAC10's on it.

Dire legs come in free, and I reused the upper arms, some of the lower arms.
Torso will likely get some overall proportion adjustments, but I think the details are there. Don't quite have it approved yet though, as upper management is quite tied up between the KS and GenCon.

Enjoy? I'm sure some won't enjoy the mw4/mwo style cockpit glass slope.

The MW4 Warhawk had a really cool looking barrel "brace" at the end of the arms - It is a superbly cool look. And, frankly, makes it a bit more believable - that is where so much of the cool factor for BT comes in for me, is a lot of the mechs look like weapons of war, not BIG STOMPY ROBITS

Love it, especially the LRM10. I didn't care for how, in MWO, it sat under the left arm. I love the A variant, with 2 LPL/2 ER PPCs. And, when I'm not running stock only designs, dropping the PPCs and LRMs for 4 LPLs and a couple more DHS is.....murderous....

Love it!! This is a fantastic assault mech for my Jade Falcons and has been one of my favorite mechs to pilot in the video games starting with MW2. I think the redesign really captured the sturdiness and ominous "bully on the block" attitude.

Smart.

"cooling manifold"

Taylor Shead

They're braced, a casting consideration.

Anthony Scroggins

Looks fantastic!

Henning Boessler

Are the barrels cross-braced, or are those lines between them on the right arm just from copy/pasting the left?

Ryan Voigt

not sold on the cockpit glass. everything else looks great.

I like the Look. Warhawk always Iconic like the Direwolf

The range I've set is the lower detail GoAC mechs are the lowest allowed while our already finished Clan mechs are the top end. I don't want it becoming a runaway train of detail, but we will be going more detailed than what GoAC had on average.

Anthony Scroggins

Just to be sure, all the lines are going to fade into designs like the AGoAC box set minis, right? I really would like for the art to stay away from the incessant, infinite piles of armor plates on MWO designs personally.

Andrew McKenna

I’m not familiar with the MWO/MW4 versions, but this cockpit style makes the mech look smaller than it is while the airliner-style cockpits on some of the recent light clan mech concepts make them look like they belong to a heavier class.

Im loving all the new designs so far and im just waiting for the finshed crusader and guillotine so much hype for this my wallet is screaming at me . as for this beast i like it alot as for the lrm posistion well when i lose that arm i havnt lost my lrm so lose win in this case :P keep it up you cant BOG THE SCROG!

I like it, but it feels like it's missing something. Don't know what, though.

I meant the record sheet shows the LRM in the arm. That has been ignored for all the models prior to MWO, but I thought this round of resculpts was striving to more accurately reflect loadouts.

Ryan Voigt

I really like the look of the more slab flat top in mw4 and the forward LRM is interesting. I wanted to deliberately not copy the Dire positioning so i ran with it.

Anthony Scroggins

So you kept the thing they broke (cockpit slant) and reversed the thing MWO fixed (LRM placement)? :p

Ryan Voigt

Yup, cockpit is a-okay. I love me a bit of Masakari. 4 Clan ERPPC's and a targeting comp is not something to be messed with lightly in a standoff fight!

Phil

YES!

Tyler Erickson

This looks fantastic, and I love the cockpit glass, looks awesome!!!

Danny

Just about perfect.

Mitchell Berthelson

It looks great! You are doing an awesome job on redesigning the favourites.

I dig it. Such Warhawk much wow
