Samurai Jack (Throwback Doodle)

Hi Friends I'm still behind with the new Illustrations so I'm bringing back an old Commissioned work of Samurai jack from 2017.

This artwork pushed me out of the comfort zone, using elements of realism, fantasy and Art-Deco. This was a very rare case when I actually was able to materialize the original idea into the final artwork, it feels young and informal, a little far away from the structured, architectural compositions that I usually rely on. Every single element was chosen from a place of joy and without really questioning if they go well together. The commissioner gave me a lot of freedom and a lot of time to make this, and I'm forever grateful since this piece helped me to trust my instincts and skills to try more ambitious projects.

I will be sharing some Photoshop and Illustrator files from this project, they are surprisingly very well organized and with many separated layers, so they can be fun for you to peak.
