Something I'm working on for the future...
Added 2024-06-15 02:18:11 +0000 UTCDid this up a month ago and letting it percolate in my brain for a bit. Milestone abilities stop at Tier 4. Your character has been formed and it's time to refine your abilities. Having a mastery is what separates Hedgewizards from Archmages. I want to carry on the idea to Weapons, Crafting, and other class options. Just an idea for now, thought I'd toss it up.
On the homefront, things are looking up. My father-in-law will be released tomorrow and at home for Father's Day. Still a long way to go, but we'll be spending a lot less time at the hospital and traveling back and forth. I'm looking forward to sitting and writing on Monday.

It won't be just Contract Workers. It's an advanced set of abilities that don't start until the 4th their. Very much a WIP.

2024-06-19 02:55:10 +0000 UTCIs it by choice that only one skill in the weapon mastery tier is affected by a stat (Blocking 1 is affected by Str)? It just seems odd when stats aren't mentioned anywhere else even though I'm pretty sure Dex/Agility affect evasion for example.

2024-06-17 01:38:57 +0000 UTCA little confused as to why weapon mastery is only allowed for contract workers? Also I thought the whole concept was they didnt have access to weapon skills, so why wouldn't this skill have been blocked? The way they were getting around it were using very unusual weapons or skills designed for a completley different purpose as weapons, like dart throwing.

2024-06-15 09:08:56 +0000 UTCI’ve actually been considering that idea recently, and I’d like to add something. Intuition. It’s what allows the old tech apply the “technical tap”, or hammer for the unenlightened, in the right spot. There are lots of stories that flow this way, the old butcher who makes a live cow fall apart with a dull knife because they know EXACTLY where to apply the edge. It’s the usage of knowledge/skill/dexterity etc at the exact right moment for maximum effect with minimal effort.
