Liverpool Second Leg - Instant Reaction

Comments

every week we discuss how young our team is and we need to expect inconsistencies and how thin our squad which is going to cause problems, and when we lose some lose their minds but in all honesty, i feel this is a sign of how far we have come. we were all expecting a win against Liverpool with our team and home advantage that's a massive improvement on its own. if we can somehow get a win against Burnley we have a mini winter break in Feb with only 2 prem games and can get our squad back to full health I fancy us for a good run in whether or not we make signings but I feel we will make 1 or 2 just maybe not a striker. but it is worth waiting for the right one. great show lads

I think the shade of yellow on their kit gave them the illusion of extra bodies, we have to factor that in

Thanks guys for making me chuckle at the end there. The idea of Xhaka having to be the guy who tells Partey to keep his discipline in check had me laughing for a looong time πŸ˜† Thank you for the pod today - I needed it after last night!

I don't know, I can't really join in on the three steps backwards sentiments. What I saw were loads of players coming back from injury who lacked match sharpness. They need a few games to get back to their best.

This feels like 3 steps backwards again. Such a limp performance against a Liverpool without their 2 best forwards. Difficult to swellow

I'm not sure the first goal is as flukey as people say, Lampard used to finish like this all the time and it's very effective

Sorry Madhu but can't agree. Paul's my favourite, so it just shows that tastes differ!

Wow Paul without Elliot u guys suck. Bring him back. Stock rising Elliot

Good one guys. Watched only the first half due to timing in India. Couldn't bother to watch after the first half in the middle of teh night. The red cards in the team is a serious issue and needs to be dealt into very seriously. You cannot have crucial matches being played with 10 men and loosing key personnel due to resulting suspension when the squad is so thin. This is now taken a pandemic proportion and needs to be dealt pronto. Wonder what u guys think about this.

Gutted by the result but definitely agree MØ8 was on another level. Just felt we lacked some physical competitiveness tonight.

You guys sound very down. I'm glad I was at work for the game 🀣
