We’re almost all ex-19 year old’s, Paul :)

Excellent pod as always. Re AMN Arteta has always been hard on him even with a buy in by the player. Nketiah hasn't bought in and gets minutes because Arteta likes him. I'm frustrated for AMN whenever he played midfield this season he hasn't let us down. Arteta has had us playing well recently so kudos to him but there is something to critique regarding his man management.

I mean the problem is you can’t come back on the pitch in football. I think it’s probably no big deal but worth noting that there’s just a culturally understood humiliation to being hooked before halftime

Good one guys. Nuno give it a rest guys it's just one game after having not played. He is still a kid when u can entertain xhakas stupidity every now and then how can u go on about Nuno. Remember just few games earlier we couldn't stand for Tierney replacing him. If nuno is not incensed when he was subbed then he doesn't have the right attitude. Also this AMN situation is bizarre. Remember he played as right back for Roma and not center mid. Woudlnt he better playing right back than Cedric. Something is rotten here guys and to say that his deal was done earlier I would like to question the mgmt. Knowing u are a Xhaka red card away are u careless as mgmt to make a deal for AMN so early without a similar back up plan to replace AMN on the same day. Bizarre mgmt this is.

And Tavares was absolutely the worst person on the pitch at the time. Cederic was worse overall but not by that time. On another note, I'm 50/50 on Clive's suggestion of using the "shadow" group in a 3-4-3. I had the same thought but I'm torn on that as a concept because if you change every time you have to rotate, how are you ever going to get that second group in a groove to play the way you play in the first team? Again, I see the merits of doing it but I'm just not sure if that's what I would do. Something to noddle on more for me.

I 100% disagree with the idea that it's not okay to hook a guy who isn't doing it. If you ever watched basketball and the great Phil Jackson, who is arguably, the greatest coach that ever existed in the game and he would and did sit players down that didn't buy in and listen to him. Read any of his books. U can say it's a different sport all you want but listen to any top manager of any sport and they will all tell you the same thing. Get on the same page or get out of my way. That's sports. That's the top of sports. So this idea that you like Tavares so you need to coddle him is not for me personally. But that's just me.
