Martenelli in . Auba out. There’s not a defensive unit in the league that shakes in their collective boots when Auba is named as a lone striker . Too easy to mark out of the game

Sambi would have had better cover for the first goal. Need to bring a striker signing forward to Jan. If not we,r going to burn out the youngsters.

Ahh man. This one really makes me sick to the core. I can take being beaten convincingly, but I cannot take giving them goals on a plate like that. Two golden rules of football broken. Do not concede just before half time and do not make tackles from behind in the box. The look on their fans’ smug fucking faces, having not even SCORED at home for 4 games and we roll out the red carpet like that. Jesus, mother Mary, the lot. An early Christmas present and then some. Fuming.

Great pod guys. I watched the match and what a waste of my sleep and sanity. I wonder if there is any footballing intelligence at all in this team. Who is the leader on the pitch and pls don't tell me who's got the arm band. Man u were able to get a result inspite of thier manager due to match management on the pitch by thier senior players. Who is our senior player to do that. I don't see any communication within the team. What's going on?

I was watching Arteta more so than the game. He was furious and pointing etc. He definitely doesn’t approve of the dropping in.

Arteta bottled it. He freaked out because he didn’t know how Carrick would play so pulled a peak Emery and went cautious with elneny over AMN/sambi

Do we know if Sambi was carrying a knock? I find it strange Arteta would pick elneny if sambi was fully fit, given Arteta picked Sambi for Liverpool and Newcastle even after Sambi struggled at Liverpool.

People get off parteys back!! What do you expect when every time he looked to pass it into auba or odegaard they either marked themselves out the game or lost the ball softly trying to hold it up. Then partey has to run around snuffing out transitions cos his forwards are cowards who get pocketed by the likes of lindelof and mcfred in the duel. Thomas partey would look world class with 3 martinellis up front tonight. Martinelli was the only forward who offered our defence respite by holding and progressing the ball or buying a throw in/foul. If you can’t do those things as a forward even a tiny bit, you’re not good enough. Saka as a false 9 jota style. I’m tired of this aubamayang era attack, it’s always kind of sucked IMO

Disappointing result yes but guys please let’s not loose sight that this is still a very young team with young players that CAN make mistakes. Performance wasn’t that bad collectively but Partey and Auba need to do better

Whatever people say, not Artetas fault. Hes not the one telling them to shrink when they go up. I was pretty disappointed in the Elneny selection, makes no sense with AMN and Sambi there. Both can do his job and more. I dont think it helps Partey to have to play next to him honestly.

Well done Paul for finally seeing the light on Partey…. He needs to be benched and we should go with AMN and Sambi. AFCON is going to be a joy. Will be hard for Partey to get back into the team after Xhaka / Sambi figure it out.
