40m is rather spot on in this market , Madrid have never used him and have a massive rebuild ahead as well , Their finances are not in a good state either. i'm hoping the players will is hugely going to keep the price down.

40 million pounds for Odegaard seems a bit of a low bar. (mind you who knows how bad Covid has made things) I think if we were to get him, it would likely be cost us significantly closer to 60 million pounds--because theres no viable release clause and no rush from Madrid's side to get a deal done. My fear is that Odegaard is likely to be the kind of piece they would want to keep--especially if they have the chance to bring in Haaland because of the Norwegian connection and play styles TBF. I think best hope is that Haaland leaves for Man City; after that we come in with a 50-60m offer + Odegaard kicks up a storm at Madrid about wanting a new Arsenal level contract now (180k+ a week) or leaving.
