How important are the FA cup and Community shield wins for Arteta in the transfer market? How hard would it be for him without any silverware to show for?

Why isn’t more being made of us actually going out to win the Europa League this year as surely this is our best chance and if Arteta can win in Europe that will do way more for his stature at the club than a top 4 finish

Are you concerned about our clear inability to sell Guendouzi and do you think it’s wise we sell him when his stock is clearly so low?

If you could undo one incoming transfer from Ozil on forward. Who would it be?

If Guendouzi stays does that lesson the need for Aouar and increase the need for a Partey?

If we can't get another midfielder in, does that actually increase the chances we go to a back 4, allowing us to add Saka/Willian/AMN to the midfield?

Do you have any players in mind as alternatives to Partey and Aouar, if those deals prove too expensive? I for one like the look of Dominik Szoboszlai from RB Salzburg (12 goals, 18 assists in 40 appearances) He has a reported €25 mil release clause, and they do have a record of producing players for top clubs, Haaland, Minamino, Keita, Mane, etc.

Neil Godbert

I want to do a little revisionism. If we make CL during Emery's first season, then 2019-2020 goes exactly as it did, is Emery still the coach? Does making CL give what was so obviously a bad fit, too much of a lifeline? As awful as the end of 18-19 was, I'm not sure I'd change it now considering we most likely wouldn't have Arteta. Also, are we still in the honeymoon phase with Arteta, or are all the positive vibes surrounding him legitimate?

If we do sign 1-2 additional CMs, do you think Xhaka will be phased out or is he too integral for this season?

What would you prefer? Reintegrate Guendouzi (on basis he apologises and works hard) or sell him and sign Aouar?

Cheers gents. Great video btw. My question is centred around Mesut Ozil. Do you think we will see the best of him this year? I have not been the biggest Mesut fan over the last 2-3 years but I have a sneaky feeling that he will perform during his last year and then Arsenal fans will be calling for him to ‘sign da ting’. A large part of me is satisfied with this potential outcome because it can only be positive for our overall output, however, a high level of performance will reaffirm my beliefs that he has tossed it in for the last few years. Keen to hear all your thoughts on this.

Are you concerned that we are a month out from the transfer deadline and we still have not officially moved anyone out to raise the funds needed for new midfielders?

Not Arsenal related. Thoughts on the NBA, the playoffs, the strike (should athletes boycott events for social justice? Or does it simply hurt everyone involved), Is European players excelling the new norm? (e.g Giannis and Luka Doncic) and who is going to win it all? FYI Someone took my Arsenal related question and you did a pod on the Last Dance, so I know your NBA fans. Sorry :(

What is the NEXT step in Arteta’s rebuild? Providing Partey, Aouar or similar MFs come in this year, who should we be looking to sell / buy come January or NEXT year to become Premier League title contenders and subsequently-Champions League Winners?

To important matters: How tied to the team's success is our kit appreciation? Did we waste last season's kit brilliance on the debacle that was?

Cont from above, I'd also really like to see ESR given an opportunity to play as a left 8 in a midfield three (or a right 8 with Saka on the other side) with a view to ESR making that position home within the next few years. Rather than simply viewing this as an opportunity to give game time to our fringe players, do you think we should use the cup games as a testing platform for how we want to set up in most fixtures next season?

Pick me!! Are you guys excited about Arsene Wenger autobiography? Which part of the book in particular are you most interested in?

To what extent do think we should use the league cup and europa league group stages as an opportunity to line-up as a 4-3-3? I think there's an acceptance that Gabriel and Saliba will need time to adjust and we'll likely see Holding/Mustafi - Luiz - Tierney in a back three in the league until at least Christmas. A back four would help Gabriel and Saliba bed in while also preparing them and the club for what is surely our goal to be a back four team by next season.

Should we be demanding more financial backing from KSE this summer? The club are strapped for cash, FFP has been loosened and Mikel could really push the club forward if the correct signings are made this summer. If there was ever a time for them to flex their muscles, surely it’s now?

If we end up keeping Rob Holding this season, realistically, how many goals can we expect from him in all competitions?

Apart from Man City no one since Covid puts more than 2 goals past us and we have become a hard team to beat home and away. Clearly huge credit goes to Arteta to this regard but what has been the key change he has made to accomplish this and what if anything have we had to sacrifice to get here?

Warren Butson

Would you rather keep Guendouzi or Elneny at the club next season? Would you rather take the financial hit and the attitude situation or the objectively worse player

Hi guys, I'm a little worried about Pepe. Do you think Arteta is cemented to the idea of Auba being on the left of a front three and if so how does this impact Pepe's playing time as we have lots of other players pushing for that spot on the right of the three? Should we be building our attack around Pepe rather than Auba? Could you see Pepe move to the center of the front three and does he have the skill set do that job? I think he certainly has the finishing capabilities to bag 15+ PL goals next season if played regularly (30 starts). Sorry for loads of questions and thanks for the great pods.

I get the feeling that the announcement of Auba signing his new contract could be being back to use to Bury some bad news. Do you agree and if so what news do you think this might be?

Does the signing of Willian who plays predominantly from the right see us moving Pépé towards the center which is something Clive seemed intrigued about last season?

Do you see Saka's future in midfield? I could see him as a very effective member of a 3 man midfield, on the left side. We have seen him contribute well both offensively and defensively. He is a smart player who can adapt to the flow of the game and do what is required. He is generally tidy in possession and has the skill to beat the press. Going forward he can pick a pass, beat his man, and finish from inside and outside the box. He can also operate in the half-space and support our winger/fullback, overlap, or find space in the box. Most importantly, he seems to have the fitness to do it all. Would love to hear your thoughts on this.

Which Championship (or La Liga 2, Bundesliga 2) player do you think we should sign. Apart from the Brentford goalie who we seem to be targeting.

David Vass

Sorry for the doomy question but how good is our starting xi without aubameyang?

What's your Origin story? What brought you to the Arsenal?

With pep Guardiolas contract up next year , do you think there's any danger city will try to tempt Arteta back to Manchester ?

In order for us to beat the so called weaker teams what do you think needs to change. How do we dominate? Also in the last decade did the lower half of the table got better? There was no wolves, Leicester, Sheffield in the good ol Wenger years

I would consider a top 6 finish and a run to a cup final (Europa of the FA Arsenal cup) a successful season as long as it was supported by significant development of our young core of player, martinelli, saka, saliba, magallyeyes and esr or willock. What would you guys consider to be a successful twenty twenty twenty twenty.... twenty... twenty... twenty? Twenty one season?

With our oversupply of CBs, could you see David Luiz ever being used as a DM, even if it was in the odd cup game?

Or: if Lacazette is sold would you rather we replace him with a CF, or move Aubameyang to CF and spend the money elsewhere in the squad? Or... (last one, I promise) on the topic of Bellerin possibly leaving: which previous Arsenal player's departure punched you in the gut emotionally the most?

You can spend 35m on a No 6 or No 8 who will walk straight into the first team and instantly be our best player in that role. Which player do you choose?

Q&A Could Mainsley be coached/transformed into a Box to Box CM by Arteta - assuming his 'End Product' is part of the improvment?

Nketiah over/under 7 PL goals? I think he's quietly getting better and flying under the radar a bit

What do you think our line up will be at the Europa league final? Or whatever our last game of the season is?

Is there a player you always thought was an Arsenal style player that just never joined us? Tiago looks like what an Arsenal midfielder was about ten years ago but is probably out of our reach.

How did you guys all first meet/start this podcast ?

Andre

Tactics in the EPL phase in and out. We all remember the 4-4-2 era, then there was the period of the three man midfield and the playmaking #10 and now it seems we are in the period of dominant inverted wingers and athletic #8s. If you guys had to predict, what is the next era of tactics going to look like?

I don't know if this was covered in the Over/Under pod, it might have been, I haven't gotten a chance to get into yet, but if it hasn't can we do an Over/Under when it comes to the way we're set up (notionally at the start of the game, also make whatever assumptions you'd like about our incoming transfer games) - So, here's the actual proposition: I'm setting the O/U for league games where we start with 3 at the back at 15.5. Do you think we'd go over or under that?

How worried should we be about Chelsea and United's strengthening this summer? I have nothing but faith in Arteta but I wonder if I'm being stupidly optimistic in the face of brute financials that we can actually make top four.

Which of TJJ, ESR or balogun do you think is more likely to have a “Saka esque” breakout season this year?

Fourth place still seems a difficult battle, but there's always the Europa League and, of course, the FA Cup. So at the end of this season, what would you consider an acceptable level of progress?

Saka appreciation question: between Pepe, Saka, Willian - who do you think will get the most starts and most minutes? Also in which position do you think Saka & Willian will get their most minutes?

How many starts does Cedric get this season?

Does Auba get 100 goals before leaving Arsenal?

I need the info to access Discord. Thanks.
