It's interesting how physical media is trending for different types of media. None of them are healthy, but all in drastically different ways. Books are seeing a resurgence from BookTok, but so much of it is centered on the YA and Romance genres that community loves. Video games are relegated to fake physical editions from LRG that come with a bunch of trash and never actually get delivered. Well, and Evercade which is physical and excellent but still quite niche. I feel like films and TV are still doing relatively well. But they're more and more getting into collectors editions and junk. I just wish there was a good way to buy just discs in sleeves cause I'm just gonna put them into a binder and I don't have room for more shelf candy.

2025-09-06 12:55:20 +0000 UTCThe quality thing is indeed palpable! And not just with movies, I recently dropped all music streaming and went back to buying physical vinyl and CDs, and damn! Feeling as if I’m hearing some songs for the first time!
