I made a PARALLEL AXIS TRIPTERON, whatever that means.

It's shiny, and it moves on it's own, but what is it even good for?

Thanks for your patience in waiting on this one, it was a slog the whole way through.

Correction, Zaber Industries should be Zaber Technologies (no affiliation)

I left the Bambu Lab section in for disclosure, but I also figured if any of you are already buying filament and such from them, you might consider using my affiliate link.

Link: https://shareasale.com/r.cfm?b=2282157&u=4236696&m=138211&urllink=&afftrack=

I receive 5% of filament purchases and 3% of machine purchases through that link.

With the wisdom of years of making up names for weapons engineering projects, I suggest the 5th axis be named the FIST. Frikkin Insane Spinny Thing. 🤣

I'll also admit that by the end of this project I couldn't bear the sight of that project file any longer 😅 I'll come around again one day

You caught me, it was definitely rushed out the door! I would like to get it organised a bit better, just depends how much free time I have in the coming days and weeks. Having a complete and parametric model out in the world would be awesome.

I'm seriously tempted to make a 3d printed one of these (you've inspired me). I downloaded your STEP file, but Fusion360 doesn't like the head (possibly inverted normals or something?). I wanted to update the model with holes printed the right size for plastic heatset inserts, but Fusion can't figure out the head (which is also 3 different bodies .. should they be merged?). Is there another way you could export this model? I have a 3-axis CNC that can do aluminum, but it looks like it would be an insane amount of work even with 4-axis. I'll stick to printing for now. Thanks for posting the model!

Great video as usual, well worth waiting for! Also, amazing you're sharing the step files, thanks!

A man of education, I see.
